“For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law” Galatians 5:17-18, NKJV.
The flesh is wicked. It won’t tell you that it is. You will only notice that it always wants to do the things that are against God and wants you to think contrary to Him. You will notice it always wants you to go no farther in the Lord. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit will always speak to you. He will remind you of God’s word and will even show you things to come in your life. He will show you the desires of God, and if you oppose the flesh, you will experience God’s plans for you.
The flesh and the Spirit war against each other, and this is real. The choice you make to let His Spirit reign that is in you, will cause you to win. Decide to face your day and face your moments today, spiritually-minded. Live and walk step-by-step with the Holy Spirit. Your end will be life and peace.
Prayer: Father, I thank You! The victory and freedom over this flesh have already been given to me through Jesus Christ. Help me to let the Holy Spirit reign in me. Teach me to be spiritually-minded, not carnal minded. May the fruit of the Spirit reign in me. By the Holy Spirit, I will dominate over my flesh and experience the life You’ve ordained for me and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
