“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” Romans 4:20-21, KJV.
Faith is being fully persuaded in Who God is, what God says and in what God does. He wants you to believe Him right now.
He wants you to read His word and discover how He always came through for His people. See how He always guided them. Experience how He never allowed anything on His people more than they can bear, and He always made a way for them. As you get to know Him, you become fully persuaded by the power of His Word that the God you are reading about, the God that parted the Red Sea, the God that forgave David after committing adultery and murder, the God that blessed and prospered Joseph even in prison, the same God that rescued Paul and Silas what they prayed at midnight, is the same God that you serve and the same God you pray to.
The same thing God wanted from Abraham then, is the same thing He wants from you now. He wants you to have faith in Him. He desires for you to take Him at His word and become fully persuaded that He will do what He said He will do. Take what He was written and become fully persuaded that you can trust Him enough to obey Him in any area of your life.
From your full persuasion will come more and more of your very own experiences with God like never before of what He will do, how He will come through–not just for someone else–but for you.
Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to the core of my faith. Teach me more and more about Who You are, and strengthen my faith through the power of Your word. I desire to be like a rock any time I need to believe and be fully persuaded that You will do what You said You will do. Thank You Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
