Still Your Calling

February 26, 2019

“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance” Romans 11:29, KJV.

If someone gave you a gift for your birthday, it is your gift. You could leave it at their house and come back the next day, and they would still say it is yours. The struggle comes when you leave and didn’t come back for a considerable amount of time, and we wonder is it still there, is it still our gift. We even get tempted to think it’s gone or it’s too late. However, when you arrive, they tell you your gift is right here, and it is still yours. That person is God.

Our gifts and calling are miraculous, and God has given them to us, never to be taken away. The Amplified version says, “For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]” God did not give your gifts and calling to someone else. The devil wants to keep you away from what God has for you. They are right there where you left it. Those gifts are still yours. That calling is still yours. This is the amazing love of a faithful God. He will continue to call you, and now it is time to answer. Let go of the past, take this new season and step into your calling.

Prayer: Father, I thank You that just as You will never leave, what you have called me to do will never leave either. I thank You it is still there. Forgive me for walking away, yet I am here as Your son to pick it up again. With joy, I answer You now. In this new season, I receive Your grace to step into my calling. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
