“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7, NKJV.
“Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matthew 6:27, NKJV.
Many times what keeps us from truly living with joy is we still hold on to life situations and our past, instead of releasing them over to God. We pray, but then we begin to burden ourselves with deep thoughts like why did it have to happen, why now, I shouldn’t be in this situation, and we stress out about it. We pray, but then we can find ourselves behaving as if we didn’t.
There is power in releasing it all over to the Lord. Release all your care over to God and leave it in His hands. Release that heaviness about that son or daughter in jail, that relative, your marriage outcome, your job, and provision over to the Almighty God. Release the stress of when He’s going to do it, how He’s going to do it and what will He use to work it out. Release whether what He instructed you to do will work. Release all your questions about can He restore you. Release every regret.
Your constant worry won’t change anything, but your faith in God will. Release it, my brother. God doesn’t want you to spend another moment worrying, but living. Let your concern be to pray, do your part to obey His voice, and then release it by faith, and let Him do His.
Prayer: Father, thank You today for Your Word and I choose to release this situation over to You. I lift my hands and release it now! I release my concern for promotion, my business, my ministry, my marriage, my son, my daughter to You. You hold all my victories! It’s in Your hands now and I’m going to live with joy my life. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!
Challenge: Meditate on Psalm 23:1 today.
