Stay by the River.

December 3, 2019

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper” Psalm 1:2-3, NKJV.

A tree cannot survive without water. But with it, a tree can thrive. You are a tree of righteousness, and in these times, it is vital to stay by the river of God’s Word. Do not underestimate its’ power. Within His Word, God has something to say to you that will cause you to never lack what you need. He will meet you right where you are. There is no greater shelter, no greater peace, no greater comfort, no greater counsel, no greater offense than His Word.

He framed the world with it. Jesus fought with it. He healed with it. You will win with it. His Word has the power to keep us planted and thriving. It doesn’t mean we won’t go through anything, but God’s word will sustain you and feed you through it.

Confession: God’s Word is powerful. I am a tree of righteousness and I will plant my life by the river of His Word. It flows with guidance and sustenance. It flows with strength. I will thrive in these times because I fill my heart with what He says. I fill my mind with what He says. His Word will provide counsel for every situation in my life. I will abide in Your Word and prosper!
