No Interruptions, No Distractions

January 30, 2018

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13, ESV.

Some of us need to stay in the house for while and seek God with no interruptions, no distractions. Even if you begin by simply sitting quietly before Him and being still. You need to hear from Him.

You know and perceive that He is speaking. You know He is tugging on your heart about something, and it is important to know what is. Just like obtaining the ability to hear a radio station by turning the dial closer, so we do the same. We quiet our hearts and get closer to God so we can clearly hear His voice.

Set yourself to hear from God with no interruptions. Turn the cell phone off. Put away the Facebook for a moment. Turn off the game. He knows your desires, yet you know His, and His great desire is to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32). Tell Him I am setting myself to hear Your voice and to understand what You trying to get to me.

You don’t want to miss this season of your life. You don’t want the year to go by without hearing and determining the will of God for you. One word from God will give peace, settle you down and you can say that’s what I needed. One word of wisdom will cause you to understand why you are experiencing what you’re going through. One word of direction will be exactly what you need to hear. You only need to hear Him.

Prayer: Thank You Father. You know what I need. Here I am Lord, and I am setting myself to hear from You without any interruptions. You have my complete focus and attention. As I spend this time with You and get closer to You, I thank You that You will provide the direction I need. I desire Your will be made known. I praise You in advance for the great things You will reveal to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
