Dealing with Difficulties

October 8, 2019

“Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son” Genesis 18:14, ESV.

In diving, there are degrees of difficult dives a swimmer can do, ranging from 1.2 to 4.8, and you have all kinds of dives that can be made. The greater the degree a diver makes, the greater the score.

Just as there are degrees of difficult dives, there are degrees of difficulties that we encounter in life. From small to great, we all have them. Yet, we handle them the same way. one thing is for sure is that on the other side of what’s difficult, there will be an even greater blessing in your life.

Run to God. When you’re dealing with something difficult, you can do one of two things: you can run from God, or you can run to Him. He is a strong tower that you can run into and find safety. He is your refuge and strength.

Give it God. Cast your care to the Lord for He cares for you. Take the entire situation to God in prayer and give it to Him, even the blame or hurt that you could have done something differently or you may have caused it.

Be led of God. The Holy Spirit is present to lead you through it. Whether He says do this, or He says be patient, set your focus on His answer and that’s what you by faith hold on to. They may appear hard for man, but He wants you to know that there’s nothing is too hard for the Lord!

Prayer: Father, thank You for helping me deal with difficult moments in my life. They may appear hard and complex for man, but nothing’s too hard for You! You are my Rock Jesus and I find my peace and strength in You. Beyond the difficult times, by faith, I believe a greater blessing is in store for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
