Everything’s not alright, but it will be.

December 26, 2017

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation…” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NKJV.

“…In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” John 16:33, NKJV.

For many of us, we are enjoying Christmas and everything that comes with this holiday season. You may have received gifts, you’re children are happy and you’re surrounded with family, even some you’ve haven’t seen in a long time. You’re experiencing an out-pour of joy and everything’s alright. That may be true for many, but not for everyone.

For some of us, everything’s not alright. Some of us are are struggling with different things, and even as a man, you don’t have to pretend. You may have been married in January, but it’s December and now you’re not. Some of us lost our mom or dad this year. You may have lost a child from sickness, through a horrible accident and their not here. Some of us are fighting for our lives regarding our health. You’re a man and you want to do a lot for your kids, but you couldn’t. Some of us are disappointed and depressed at the outcome of our year.

God wants to tell you everything’s may not be alright, but it will be. Take a moment and breath that in. Let it sink in to the core of your pain and minister to you deeply. He is the God of ALL comfort. Whatever comfort you need, our mighty God can provide. It won’t always be this way my brother. Some things happen beyond what we can explain, but know your life is in His hands. Sometimes, we may not have a lot, but a good God never leaves us without having something to be thankful for.

Jesus told the disciples to be of good cheer…to have courage. He already has overcome everything that you could ever face in this life. Stand up in HIS strength and live. It is not luck, or a chance that it will get better. It is of certainty that it will be.

Prayer: Father, You are the God of ALL comfort. It will be alright. Minister to me deeply and pick me up. I am not alone. It’s alright because You are with me. Help me as man be strong for my family and kids. I choose to take courage. I choose to trust You. You’ve already overcome for me Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
