Born to Overcome

December 25, 2017

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” John 16:33, NKJV.

You don’t have to ever feel like you can’t make it. You don’t ever have to receive the lies the enemy says about your life and what your end will be. Like rejecting a package sent to your doorstep, reject what the devil says about you overcoming in life. You have already overcome because Jesus was born to overcome for us.

So many prophecies had been given confirming that King Jesus would come. 2,000 years ago, God gave His only begotten son to be born into the earth. He didn’t come to loss either. He came to win…and he did. Jesus was born for that very reason. It was to overcome, and not just for someone else, not just your pastor, minister, or another believer you know. He was born to overcome on your behalf. If it had been only you, he still would have stepped from royalty, make himself of no reputation, be born in a manger, and went to the cross. He overcame and let his birth remind you after this day, of all that came with his glorious birth.

He wants you to know no matter what you face, no matter the trial, be a man of good cheer. That also means in the Greek “to have courage”. You don’t have to worry. Why…because he already has overcome the world for you. Since Jesus is an overcomer, you are an overcomer also.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the birth of your son and our King Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus! You were born to overcome for us. I don’t have worry or fret. You are in me and since you are, I am an overcomer also. I pray that someone comes to know you today, the true reason for Christmas. May someone receive the free gift of salvation through Your son. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
