Be found faithful and wise when He comes.

February 15, 2019

“And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes” Luke 12:42-43, NKJV.

In these times, don’t be the believer that is not looking for the Lord’s coming and who is drawn away by the pleasures of this world. These are those who lay down their love for God, for people, and advancing His kingdom. Things they once deemed important will take a back seat, and the love of God is squeezed out and their conscience seared. This person says with their heart my Lord is delaying His coming, so I’ll have time to get back on track later. There is a clear distinction being made between those who are looking for him, looking to be found faithful and wise, and those who are not.

Be encouraged to continue to devote your life, your time and your energy to God. Don’t get discouraged when you make a mistake, but quickly get back up because you know the love God has for you. Work out your own salvation with a deep reverence, joy and gladness. Be a faithful and wise servant. We have a God to serve and to glorify. He is our portion and He has an abundant portion appointed for us in this life and in the life to come!

Prayer: Father, I give You praise today. Thank you Jesus. I ask that You help me to continue to look for your return. Keep my heart pure and help me to continue to be a wise and faithful man. Forgive me if I’ve allowed anything to turn my heart away and let it be turned back to You today. Let Your purpose and will be done in me, and may I be found doing exactly what you’ve told me to do when you come. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Study: Luke 12:42-46, Matthew 25:1-13, 2 Peter 1:10, Galatians 6:7-10, Revelations 2:4
