Do It With All Your Heart

February 14, 2019

“Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered” 2 Chronicles 31:20-21, NKJV.

Hezekiah did what he did for God with all of his heart and prospered. Whatever you do for God, do it with all of your heart. If you sing, do it with all of your heart. If you are a dentist, build smiles with all of your heart. If you are a business owner, strive to give the best service with integrity with all of your heart. Honor the Lord to the utmost in all you do. Do it as if Jesus was doing it himself, as ministry to one another.

You may be in a place right now, or doing something that isn’t God’s best for your life and you don’t enjoy it. It may not be what you desire overall, and you’d rather not even be there. Consequently, it can be hard to do it with all of your heart. Be encouraged to press beyond the emotions, and focus not on what you do, but Who you do it for. It is good, right, and true. Above all, the worth and value of what you do is it pleases God. Above all, He will help you get where you desire, but it is your ministry for now, and God will see you still honoring Him.

Give Him all that you have for the glory of God. As the Father did with Hezekiah, so He will do with you–He will prosper you.

Prayer: Father, I desire to be in your perfect will, and it gets hard to do this with all of my heart. Yet, I will praise You and I believe You will get me there! I have a God to serve and glorify! Help me to remain focused on serving You and my service to others. Remind me of the great value of being pleasing in Your sight. You will prosper me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
