The only reason I have breath this morning is because the Lord provided it. The only reason I opened my eyes is because He blessed me to open them.
If you consider the blessing of being alive, you will realize how precious life is. If you can consider out of all the people they didn’t wake up, but you did, we have no reason to complain. Regardless of what is going on in your life, the thankfulness of life outweighs your concerns and puts them in their proper place.
Stop and consider, occupy your heart with the greatest blessing of life itself–and give thanks. No matter your financial state, every rich person combined could not buy what you already have. There are those who would immediately trade you for your health, your right mind, your eye sight, your family, your peace, for every ounce of wealth they have because life weighs in and valued as much more. So be reminded to keep it on the scale, and it will keep you humble, content, and thankful–no matter what you’re going through. God has graciously extended to you life today…so live it. As long as you are breathing, there is always hope.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the blessing of life. I wake up and that makes it a great day already. I am alive and I am very thankful. I choose to live! You will handle my concerns as You have always done. May I not always be found looking for a blessing, that I forget I’m already blessed. I praise You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
