Forward is Action

November 9, 2017

“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” James 2:20,24

The only thing that separates us from our past and a promise from God is an action. Without your actions, your faith stands dead and unfruitful. When you apply the brakes to your vehicle, the car will stop. No matter the speed, the car will cease to move. It will obey you. If a room is dark and we want to see, we turn on the light and the darkness flees. The light will invoke its’ power upon the darkness.

When we put into action God’s Word in our lives, the discouragement and bitterness will obey Him; they must let you go. When we say what He says, peace will come and the turmoil will stop. Go forward with your God-given gifts and God will back you. Praise God and watch His joy arise in your heart. When you act, God removes the obstacle, and in turn, you receive the blessing.

The challenge is believing the action will produce our expectation. Remember, this is not merely an action. This is an action directed by God. It is the action inspired by God to combat all of the evil, oppression and past pains that seek to overtake you.

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for speaking to me. I need to move forward from the past, and so I ask You to help me. Show me what You want me to do. Help me go forward into the purpose and plan You have for my life. I receive Your wisdom and Your grace now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
