Real Peace

April 9, 2020

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…” Romans 5:1, NKJV

There’s something about not being right with God that causes us to be restless, without peace. In other words, our soul is not at one with God, Who is Jehovah Shalom–The Lord Is Peace. When we are separated from the One Who embodies it and supplies it, we cannot have it. We cannot access it.
We try to find it in gaining more, vacationing more, eating more, drinking more, and/or accomplishing more. Yet, it seems to always come short of peace. More money seems to always come short of peace. More women seems to always come short of peace. It’s sugar, but it is not sweet, and it always eludes satisfying us.

Jesus became the bridge to having this peace that passes all understanding. It is a peace that you will find yourself, above all, being so thankful for. This is the amazing peace which only comes from merely being right with your Maker God. There is an unspeakable joy and peace that comes from knowing that all of your sins have been washed away, your past forgiven, and the penalty of them, the guilt of them…all gone, and every promise from God, all of His mercy and grace, is yours. Eternal life is yours. This is real peace.

Prayer: Father, thank You for peace with You that comes through having faith in what Jesus did for me. Forgive me of all my sins. Cleanse me now. I ask Jesus to come into my heart. I am set back in a right relationship with You. I receive the peace I’ve never known. Turn my life around like I’ve never known. Thank You for it today! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
