“That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” Hebrews 6:12, NKJV.
One thing about God’s promises, sometimes they can seem faint in the distance. It can feel bleak. It is as if it’s not going to reach you. The promise is close but too far at the same time. This is when you have to stand for that promise you see the most. Why? Because you’re too close. Too close to turn back. Too close to give up on it.
You’ve come too far by faith, and you must continue on by faith. You’re too close, and God doesn’t dangle carrots. He brings promises to pass. What He spoke to you about your life, character and purpose, He will bring it to pass. Your best life is right now. What you are discerning is right. It is not too far to obtain, and you will receive what He promised.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for every promise, every word you have spoken over me. It’s too close. Help me to stand and continue hearing you Holy Spirit right now. By faith and patience, I believe I will inherit the promise. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
