This is Who You Are

May 26, 2018

“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you-from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.” 1 Peter 2:9, MSG

Has anyone ever told you who you are? A number of men haven’t been, but rather who they are not; or they haven’t been told anything, leaving them without hope and direction in their lives.

At this moment in your life right now, which may be a defining one for you, God wants you to know who you are. You have made in His mighty image and likeness. You are a royal priesthood and king in a crooked and perverse generation. No matter what you’ve done, You are His son. You are blessed by God Himself! You are equipped with the mind of Christ. You’ve been made free from sin and the enemy through Him. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You are a light. You have a purpose and you have God’s grace to fulfill that purpose. You are above only and not beneath. You are the lender and not borrower, not matter your current state. You may be bending right now, but you won’t break or fold.

You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you. Everything you do prospers and the blessing the Lord is upon you to create wealth. Your heart is fixed trusting in the Lord and you shall not be moved (Psalm 112:7). You are a game changer. You can’t be held down. The joy of the Lord is your strength. You can’t be stopped! Whatever God has called you to do, you WILL do it. You are ALREADY victorious.

Tell yourself who you are in Christ according to His word, and don’t back down from it. Only receive it.

Prayer: Father, thank You for encouraging me. Thank You for defining me. I reject any harmful words that have been spoken over me in my life and I choose to believe in You God and believe in myself as a man. Every time I speak Your Word over me, I choose to believe and receive it. I am who You say I am and I can do what You say I can do. I give You all the praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
