“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you-from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted” 1 Peter 2:9, Message Bible.
Has anyone ever told you who you are? A number of men haven’t been, but rather who they are not. At this moment in your life right now, which may be a pivotal one for you, God wants you to know who you are. You have made in His mighty image and likeness. You are a royal priesthood and king in a crooked and perverse generation. You are His son, and you are blessed by God Himself. You are equipped with the mind of Christ. You’ve been made free from sin and the enemy. You are light. You have a purpose and you have God’s grace to fulfill that purpose. You are above only and not beneath. You are the lender and not borrower, not matter your current state. You may be bending right now, but you won’t break or fold. You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
Everything you touch prospers. Whatever God has called you to do, you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you. You can’t be held down. The joy of the Lord is your strength. You are victorious!
Tell yourself who you are in Christ according to His word, and don’t back down from it. Only receive it.
Prayer: Father, I praise You! Thank You for encouraging me. Thank You for defining me. My identity is found in Christ. I choose to believe in You God and believe in myself as a man. Every time I speak Your word over me, I choose to receive it. I am who You say I am and I can do what You say I can do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
