“Now these are the last words of David. Thus says David the son of Jesse; thus says the man raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel” 2 Samuel 23:1, NKJV.
David was not only anointed and called by God to be king. He was not only gifted to lead. David also had a gift for music and was a writer. He did it all for the glory of God. He was multi-faceted. And so are you. God gave him many gifts and talents. And so do you.
You have a high calling, yet just like David, there’s more to you. What other gifts have God put in you to bring Him glory? The gifts and talents that make you leap and come alive when you’re walking in them. You feel young again. They make up you and have always been a part of you too. God fearfully and wonderfully made you, gifted to create like Him. This is an hour for everything in you, those other gifts that have been on the shelf, to manifest. Those other passions and talents that make you happy. The Lord desires you to receive that you are a multi-faceted man and not to be afraid to be who you are. You may be called to ministry or business, but you know there’s more to you. There’s more that fulfills you.
Don’t allow those gifts to sit on the sidelines in your life. Put those gifts in the game. It may just be the very thing God uses to create another stream of income. It might just end up being the very thing the Lord’s been wanting you to do all along.
Prayer: Father, I praise you! Thank you for speaking to me. I am a multi-faceted man. In this hour, may everything in me be used for your glory. Use it all to bless others and me. Help me not to be afraid to walk in my gifts and talents. It’s my time to be who you’ve made me to be. It’s my time to do what makes me happy. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
