The lifter of my head.

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head” Psalm 3:3, NKJV.

First, he fled from Saul. Now, at the time David wrote this Psalm, he was fleeing from his own son. You can only imagine how devastated he felt. Yet, he knew his God, and surely, the Lord lifted his head.

Sometimes, we can feel down and out. Yet, God will lift us. While you may be looking down, He comes and picks you up and reminds you of who you are and who He is. Your shield. Your glory, your honor as a man. He is the lifter of your head!

Prayer: Father, I thank you. You are my Rock, my fortress, and my shield. You are the lifter of my head. You help me, protect me, and I don’t have to be afraid. Help me stand on your word today. You will make a way for me. I will praise You! I will lift you up as You lift me up and give you praise. You are my glory. You are the lifter of head! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
