“How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word” Psalm 119:9, NKJV.
When being young, the best wisdom is to develop early a love, a delight in the word of God, and taking heed to it. When you develop a love for His word, you will develop an understanding of the love God has for you. It will help you put strong faith in your Heavenly Father no matter what you face. His word will cleanse your way. It will set every area of your life on the right course early, and you will see its benefits now and as you age.
When you establish your life according to it, you can’t help but experience a blessed life, even in your younger years. Yes, God can and will work all those things for your good because you love Him, yet your life will be much smoother because you chose to live by His word. Your testimony won’t be that you had several hardships and bruises in your life before you turned to God. Your testimony will be that I let God’s word cleanse my way, and He prospered me. God’s word is a light and a lamp to help you see where to turn, where not to go, and who not to go with. You will say the Lord was good to me and has dealt bountifully with me.
Make God’s word your foundation of wisdom and guide for all things. It will set you on a path of righteousness and His good success.
Prayer: Father, thank you for encouraging me to gain a love and delight for your word. To value it and esteem it. It is the key to experiencing you divine plan and blessings for my life. It is the key to overcoming anything I face and making good, solid choices. I ask you to give me a strong love for your word and apply it while I’m young, no matter what other young people do. I thank you for your good success now and for all the years of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
