“Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] loving-kindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments” Deuteronomy 7:9, Amplified.
In these times, it is important to be thankful in knowing the character of your God. He is holy and good. He is merciful. He is love. He keeps His word. He chastises those that He loves, as a father does his son. The Lord will never disappoint you. He is wise and just. He is patient. He is unchanging. He is omnipresent, therefore, wherever you are, He is right there with you.
You do not have to struggle or wrestle with thoughts contrary to God’s character. If His word is settled in heaven, it is settled about you. If He said it, no matter how it appears, He will do it. God is not shady. What you read about God in scripture is Who He is. If He said He is for you, He is truly for you my brother.
Whatever point you stand in your life today, be thankful in knowing God’s character!
Confession: Father, I am thankful I know the character of my God. I am thankful God will not change on me. He tells me what He will do and He does it. My faith is strong. My faith endures because I know God’s character. I know He is holy, good, and righteous. I know He is faithful. Anything contrary to His character is not from Him at all. I will rejoice because I serve a God with character that keeps His promises. Hallelujah!
