Remember your victories.

July 1, 2021

“Moreover David said, ‘The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine’” 1 Samuel 17:37, NKJV.

At a time David needed to remember his victories the most, he did. That’s why God gave them to him, and he never forgot what He did for him. He defeated the lion, then the bear. When he faced Goliath, he spoke of what God did with the lion and the bear, which helped him have faith against Goliath.

There are some past victories God wants you to remember. You’ve had your own lion and your own bear in your life. You were in the paw of it, but the Lord brought you out, and you gave Him praise. He gave them to you for this purpose. Like David, remember your lion and your bear, so you can receive by faith that God will deliver you now also. He’s going to give you the victory now also.

Prayer: Father, I praise You. I take a moment to remember how good and faithful You are. I remember the lion and the bear in my own life, and You delivered me then. You moved in my life in a great way. Help me never to forget what You’ve done. I’ll boldly rejoice in faith that You will give me victory now. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
