Rely on God

June 19, 2022

“Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lord” Psalm 4:5, NKJV.
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” Psalm 84:11, NKJV.

I use to be a car salesman and in my line of work, my pay was based on commission. I had to trust God to send me customers that were not only able to buy but willing to also. Yet, even when He did, at the moment I still found myself having to rely on God.

I remember a customer who was a definite new truck buyer, asked me a question that I didn’t know the answer to. I had a choice to make up something to get the sale, or to be honest, risk him not buying or wanting to work with another salesperson. I sincerely told him that I didn’t know the answer to that question, but I would definitely find out for him. He then told me to call my sales manager over. I had no idea what He was going to tell him, which could have easily been negative. Instead, He told my sales manager that while he was at another dealership, a salesperson lied to him. Yet, I was honest, and because of my honesty, we have a deal and he would buy a truck from me.

No matter your line of business, a relationship you’re after, or any given situation you find yourself in, rely on God. He knows your desires. He knows you want a blessed outcome. However, you don’t have to compromise your uprightness to receive what He has for you. God is your Provider and as you put your trust in Him, He will take care of you.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I can rely on You. No matter what, help me to trust You and walk uprightly. Whether in business, ministry or relationships, I can do what’s right and You will work it out for me. I thank You for bountifully rewarding me every time because my ways please You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
