Put in the work

September 11, 2021

“Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good….And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done” Genesis 1:31-2:2, NKJV.

God worked for six days when He created the heavens and the earth, and then He said it was very good. As a man, no matter what you are in pursuit of, before you can say it is very good, you’ve got to put in the work too.

As much as God desires to bless your life, as much as you desire for your life, it is not just going to happen. From one man to another, potential and good intentions are good, but they won’t change your life. You and I are going to have to put in the work.

Just as with using tools, you have to take what God has given you and build what He’s put in your heart. He’s going to help you produce what is very good in your life. He’s with you my brother, and by His grace, you can do it.

Prayer: Father, I want to be all You’ve called me to be, but You won’t do it all. Help me to be a man that puts in the work. I ask for life-changing discipline and diligence. As I step in faith, I declare I receive an abundance of grace to do it. I thank You that when You are done with me, I will say very good. Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Study: Matthew 25:14-27, 2 Timothy 2:1
