No Interruptions, No Distractions

March 7, 2021

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13, ESV.

Sometimes, we need to stay in the house for a while and seek God with no interruptions, no distractions. Even if you begin by simply sitting quietly before Him and being still. You need to hear from Him.

You know and perceive that He is speaking. You know He is tugging on your heart about something, and it is important to know what is. Just like obtaining the ability to hear a radio station by turning the dial closer, so we do the same. We quiet our hearts and get closer to God so we can clearly hear His voice.

Set yourself to hear from God with no interruptions. Turn the cell phone off. Put away the Facebook for a moment. Turn off the game. He knows your desires, and He wants you to know His great desire is to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32).

Tell Him you are setting yourself to hear His voice. One word from God will give peace, settle you down and you’ll say that’s the direction I needed. One word from God will help you understand why you’re experiencing something and give you hope that He’s going to get you to the other side of it. You only need to hear Him.

Prayer: Thank You, Father. Here I am Lord, and I am setting myself to hear from You without any interruptions. You have my complete focus and attention. As I spend this time with You and get closer to You, I thank You that You will provide the direction I need. I desire Your will to be made known and be done in me. I praise You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
