Being Fully Persuaded

July 3, 2020

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” Romans 4:20-21, NKJV.

Abraham didn’t see how the promise of a child would happen, but he was fully persuaded and gave the Lord praise. Faith is being fully persuaded in Who God is, what God says, and what He is able to perform. He wants you to remain strong in believing Him right now.

The same thing God wanted from Abraham then, is the same thing He asks from you now. The enemy wants you to stagger, but the Lord says have faith in Me. Praise Me. You may not even understand why you’re going through it, but faith is choosing to hold on to what God told you when you have every reason to let go. Don’t let go. What He said, He is able to perform it.

Take Him at His word and be fully persuaded to the place that you obey Him, that you are led by Him. From your obedience will come your own experiences with God like never before of what He will do, how He will come through–not just for someone else–but for you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to the core of my faith. Teach me more and more about Who You are, and strengthen my faith through the power of Your word. By faith, help me to obey You. I choose to praise You and be fully persuaded that You will do what You said You will do. Thank You, Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
