Give Me Stability

February 13, 2021

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever” Psalm 125:1, NKJV.

“Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice?…Listen, for I will speak of excellent things…Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness” Proverbs 8:1, 6, & 18. NKJV.

Many of us just want stability. As a man, you may be tired of moving from place to place, and job to job. You may be tired of going up and down financially, up and down in your marriage, in your happiness, and you just want to be stable. Secure. At peace.

The key to stability is trust in the Lord. When you trust God with your money, you will do what He says with your money and what to do to increase it. When you trust God with your marriage, you will do what He says with your marriage. To our understanding, we need to drive ourselves to a place of stability, yet we end up rushing right past God’s wisdom to get there. However, stability supernaturally comes when you take the back seat and trust God’s way to get you there. With faith in His wisdom, we allow Him to guide us in our practical, everyday decisions.

God is a stable God, and His will is that every part of His son’s life is stable too. Secure. At peace, so you can focus on other things the Lord has put in your heart without distractions. I pray and I believe God is making everything stable for you.

Prayer: Father, I want stability in my life. No more up and down. Those that trust You shall not be moved. I take the back seat Lord. Even with everything going on the earth, I trust You are good and Your stable way. Secure and firmly plant every area of my life so I can focus on the things You have put in my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

You are unstoppable!

February 12, 2021

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:30-31, NKJV.

You were not meant to be stopped. You were born to be unstoppable. You are an eagle, soaring too fast and too high to be denied your calling. The enemy and his devices cannot dwell where you are. You overcome evil with good. You are too positive to be negative. You are too humble to give room to pride. You forgive too quickly to be offended. You repent too quickly to be ashamed and condemned. You have too much favor to be refused. You have too much joy to lack strength. You have too much of God to be stopped. You trust He will move for you, as you move for Him.

Yet, when you feel faint and weary, when you feel discouraged, don’t run away from God, run to Him. When you wait on the Lord, you are setting your hope and expectation in Him and His Word.

Pour out your heart to Him and wait on Him. Go to Him with your struggles as a man and wait on Him. He will bless you, renew you and prove that you are in Christ, a new creature in Him, and you truly can’t be stopped.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making me unstoppable! I was meant to run and mount up with wings as an eagle, and I won’t believe otherwise. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me! I will wait on You and put my expectations on You. I will not be stopped. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Lord is surrounding you.

February 11, 2021

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever” Psalm 125:2, NKJV.

The city of Jerusalem is set within and surrounded by seven different mountain peaks: Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet, and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the old city), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion and the hill on which the Antonia Fortress was built. Just as these mountains are surrounding Jerusalem, so is the Lord surrounding you.

Just as those mountains haven’t moved from Jerusalem, so has God not moved from around you. His grace and favor surround you. He is covering you. He is keeping you. He’s taking care of you. This isn’t just for a moment or a lifetime. It’s forever. His mighty wings of protection cover you, and the Lord of Hosts is His Name.

So rejoice and be at rest. The Lord, a real God Who is for you, is surrounding you.

Prayer: Father, good morning, and I give You all the glory. Thank You, Father, that You’re surrounding me. Come what may, I’m covered by You. Help me to be still and know that You are God. Help me to rest in my faith as You cover me and everything that concerns me. I will rest and rejoice in the covering of the Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Nothing can separate you from His love.

February 10, 2021

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life,…nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:37-39, ESV.

Through the fire, through the tough times, that try to separate you from God’s love, you find He’s faithful and still right there. When He says nothing can separate you from His love, He means it.

His love is what He wants you to receive today. His love is what He wants to use to strengthen you and find joy in. You can’t stop now. He’ll be good to you not based on performance, but because He loves you. He’ll be merciful and gracious to you because He loves you. You won’t find a better Friend than Jesus, and you are more than a conqueror because God’s great, unfailing love will literally pull you through.

We try not to talk like this as men, and we want to be strong, when all the time, His love is what picks us up and inspires us to keep going.

Prayer: Father, I praise You, and I receive Your love for me. It’s never over because of your love. In tough times or mess-ups, You still love me. You did the greatest act of love be giving Your son for me. I won’t stop now. I am more than a conqueror, and Your love will pull me through. Thank you, Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The joy of the Lord is your strength.

February 9, 2021

“Then he said to them, ‘Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength’ ” Nehemiah 8:10, NKJV.

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones” Proverbs 17:22, NKJV.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. With all of the responsibility and the work we do, even the work we do for God, can have us so driven that we become unbalanced and unhappy. Some of us have experienced some tough times in our past, and we don’t laugh like we use to.

Relax and enjoy the goodness of the Lord. Rejoice over all the great things he has already done for you. Don’t be so focused on looking for a blessing, that you forget you are already blessed. You can laugh and have a merry heart, which is good for you. Above all, you are in His hands. God has it all under control. Let nothing outweigh the joy of the Lord from operating in your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. I want to experience happiness and joy in my life. I desire a merry heart like I use to. Help me Lord to lighten up, trusting You have it all under control. Regardless of my situation, help me to always feast on Your goodness and stand on Who You are. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Think on God in the situation

February 8, 2021

“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed” Acts 16:25-26, NKJV.

Paul and Silas were going through a tough situation in their lives. Having been beaten and thrown into jail wasn’t a pleasant experience. However, they made a decision to not abide in their circumstance, but to abide in God while in their situation. They prayed and praised and surely the Lord suddenly as always came through. He rescued them from prison, and at the same time, saved the jailer with his whole household (v. 30-34)! What a mighty God we serve!

When going through tough situations in your life, it can be a challenge to keep your mind on Jesus. The situation is trying and uncomfortable. I’ve been there. Yet, God’s desire is that we keep our mind on Him. Jesus is our peace, and our calm in the storm. God is our refuge and our strength. God is sovereign and even when it doesn’t appear like it, He’s always in control.

In due time, God will turn your situation around. Be reminded to trust that there is always a greater work that God accomplishes in our situations and when you come out of it. God is pleased when we decide to praise Him in spite of what we’re going through. In this, He is glorified and made known to those around us like He did with the jailer. All because they see you abiding in Christ and watch the Lord suddenly bless you out of your situation.

Confession: I’m going to trust my Father and think on His word. I’m going to occupy my mouth with praise. When thoughts about my current circumstance come, I’m going to stay focused on Jesus the Author and Finisher of my faith. I’m going to keep seeking Him and desiring to know Jesus more. His word says He hears me, He will deliver me, and He will provide. His word says I’m blessed. I thank the Father that’s it’s already done. Hallelujah!

I’m Thankful For…

February 7, 2021

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place” 2 Corinthians 2:14, KJV.

What and who are you thankful for today? I can’t help but be thankful for the Lord being in my life and causing me to always triumph! I can’t help but be thankful that when it appeared I was losing, He carried me to a glorious, undisputed victory! I can’t help but be thankful to be alive, able to see my family and friends.

Moments like these give you a glimpse of how everyday life should be. Life should be lived with an utmost attitude of gratitude, seeing God in everything. Through ups and downs, there’s no better perspective on whatever we experience. When you are thankful, you make God known in the earth. When you are thankful, you will always be reminded of the goodness of God you’ve experienced, which will help you see God in every challenge that comes. Whether there’s a challenge in your life or you’ve suffered loss, with thanksgiving, you will always see a bigger God with a bigger plan of triumph at work in it.

Prayer: Father, You have done so much in my life! I’m thankful for every victory, every blessing, every family member, every instrumental person You’ve used to help me in life. Thank you for even the challenges that You’ve worked for my good. I pray for those that don’t have their family, their husband, wife, or child with them. It may be challenging and if they cry today, help them to see You at work and still bless Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Even if it takes time, declare no more debt.

February 6, 2021

“Owe nothing to anyone except to love and seek the best for one another; for he who [unselfishly] loves his neighbor has fulfilled the [essence of the] law [relating to one’s fellowman]” Romans 13:8, Amplified.

I have a debt that I’ve had for a long time. I see some progress, but I still have a long way to go. It’s something how, although I created this debt years ago, I’m still having to make financial decisions, right now decisions, factoring this debt in mind.

Debt is a bind to a past monetary decision that can keep us from making future ones. It ties us financially to something then, keeping us from doing something financially now. As men, it feels good when we can do what we want, when we want, for our family. God desires that you have that freedom. God desires that you are free spiritually as well as financially.

Make it your goal to move towards debt freedom, even if it takes time. It will free your money up to be used at any given moment to love people with it and do good as well. Let love be your only debt.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your word. Your desire is for me to owe no man but love. Help me be vigilant about being financially free, even if it takes some time. Refresh me to stick with it. I may not be there yet, but I thank You, and I declare that I’m debt-free. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Destiny Decisions

February 4, 2021

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV.

To be honest as a man, many times in my life I just didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know His plan. I didn’t know what it was time to do.

Have you ever been there? Are you there right now? If you are, it’s okay. Every man of God has been at that juncture in their lives in which they have had to make what I call those destiny decisions. These are the decisions that can take your life into two totally different directions, such as starting a ministry, job position, relocating or who you marry. When it’s all said and done, our lives will be a sum total of the decisions we make.

Where you are going is important right now. It is important enough to sincerely seek God and ask Him for what you need. To hear someone better, we get closer to them. Give God your “I don’t know” and he will exchange it for what He knows. He is able to give you the exact wisdom you need for your life. He will provide clarity and His vision for you. He will tell you who you are, where you are going, and step-by-step how to get there.

Prayer: Father, I give You thanks. You have called me and You know me. I declare this will be an awesome year of destiny for me. I sincerely ask in faith for Your direction for my life. I need clarity, vision and I need to know Your plan. I trust You and I set myself to hear Your voice. I praise You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hold Your Peace

February 2, 2021

“And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched. But some rebels said, ‘How can this man save us?’ So they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace” 1 Samuel 10:26-27, NKJV.

As you go higher in God, as you step into your assignment, there will be people God will touch in their hearts to assist you. God is going to cause many to willingly come right alongside you to help your vision come to pass. This is a very good thing. It will bless you greatly to see people gladly support you and you see the hand of God at work on your behalf. Yet, there will be those deemed as doubters, who whether openly or in secret, don’t agree with what God can use you to accomplish. They don’t agree with your promotion.

They may talk but hold your peace. They may not be on your side but hold your peace. It’s wise not to get involved with what the enemy wants to ultimately use to take you off course. Everyone wasn’t for Saul being the first king, everyone wasn’t for Jesus being the King of kings, and everyone may very well not be for you. But you remain encouraged knowing that God is for you, and like Saul, He chose you. Walk in love and continue your course. Bless them and continue your course.

Prayer: Father, thank You that You are for me. Thank You for touching people to support me also. I pray for those that openly or secretly are against me. Help me to hold my peace. Help me give it no attention. I’m continuing forward. I ask that You bless them and use my silence to minister Your unity and love to them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Possess What God Has For You

February 1, 2021

“Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: ‘How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?’” Joshua 18:3, NKJV.

There is a difference between having something and possessing it. God had given the children of Israel their promised land, yet they had to go and possess it.

As men, we have to face the hard reality that if we don’t work the plan that God has given us, what is in our heart to accomplish won’t happen. If you drag your feet about it, you won’t ever actually hold it in your hands. I am seeing more and more that we have to go get it. If you want what God has for you, if you want what He has shown you, you are going to have to go possess what He has given you. It’s not just going to happen. You have to seize it.

Don’t neglect or be slack about it. Sometimes, neglect and procrastination is fear disguised, but God would not give you what you couldn’t possess. You can do it my brother. Go get what the Father has for you.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking directly to me. You wouldn’t have given me this dream, this idea, these goals, this ministry, if I couldn’t possess it. You gave it to me, therefore through Christ, You will help me do it. I ask for courage to go possess what You have given me. As I do, I will see You do great things in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The safest place is in His will.

January 31, 2021

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance” Psalms 32:7, NIV.

The safest place to be is in the will of God during these times. As long as you remain in it, you will come out victorious. Yes, weapons will be formed, but they will not prosper. You will prosper instead. Desire the will of God and pursue it. The goodness of God is real and is abundantly experienced in His will.

Many voices may be pulling after you, trying to tell you what to do, but in His will is the safest place to be.

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for Your wisdom spoken directly to me. I’m safe in Your will. Victory and deliverance is in Your will. No matter what I see or hear, help me to stay in Your will and not go my own way. Give me wisdom and direction. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

His words are pure words.

January 30, 2021

“The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times” Psalms‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

I’m not a perfect man, but when I wash a plate in the sink, I wash it once and I’m confident it’s clean. I can only imagine washing that plate seven times. Nobody will be able to tell me anything about it being clean and being able to eat from it.

A holy God says His word is like silver purified seven times, denoting it’s purity and strength. It denotes that He has no ill intents or motives. His heart is truly toward you and He is truly for you. The devil can’t tell you nothing! Celebrate the Lord today. If God said it, He will do it. If He wrote, you will see it. If you partake of it and apply it, it will work without fail in your life and bless your life.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise. I thank You that Your word is pure and unfailing. It is sure and I can stand on it. Your heart is for me, and if You said it, You will do it. Your word will come to pass in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The God of All Comfort

January 29, 2021

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:3, NKJV.

My cousin I grew up with just lost her oldest son some days ago. It’s been tough for her. I went and visited the family and hugged them from the core of me. I sat down right next to her to comfort and encouraged her. God is the same way.

God is not only Lord of all. He is not only Creator of all things, has all peace, and is all-powerful. He is the God of all comfort. Whatever type of comfort you need, morning, noon, evening, or night, God is able to give you the exact comfort that you need.

If you have lost a loved one, know He is not just the Lord, reigning while sitting on His throne. He is Father–your Heavenly Father–that will come and sit down right next to you and comfort you, and carry You through it.

Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are the God of all comfort. You are my Help, and I reach for supernatural comfort right now from You. Sit down right next to me and encourage me. May I even be used to lift and strengthen those around me. Bless those who need comfort in all the world as well. I praise You for victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you don’t have peace, stop and get wisdom.

January 28, 2021

“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding” Proverbs 4:7, NKJV.

“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…” 1 Corinthians 1:30, NKJV.

Wisdom is the principal thing, and above all, it is what you want to receive from God for every decision you make. It is like the foundation of a home–it’s what you build on. Wisdom is the foundation for all of our choices and plans, and you don’t want to approach doing anything without it.

When doing a good work for God, deciding on who to marry, moving your family, or making a financial decision, get wisdom. In the multitude of counsel there is safety, so ask other godly men do they have any advice and even share any of their own experiences. You’ll be surprised at how God will speak to you through them and help you locate the exact wisdom you need for what’s before you.

Most of all, Jesus has been made unto us wisdom. He will speak and guide you. He is your wisdom because He is the word of God (see John 1:14). It is principal to find the wisdom Jesus gives through His word, then follow peace. Refuse to be rushed or pressured. With all of your decisions, it is crucial as a man to be wise and understand God’s will for you. Therefore, if you don’t know, don’t go. Stop and get peace. Get wisdom.

Prayer: Father, I needed this. I have so many decisions before me. Give me wisdom, especially so I can victoriously lead my family. Help me to find the wisdom I need, even through the counsel of others. As I get all the practical information I can, and as I pray about it, Jesus speak to me, and I will follow your lead. Help me to stop and not move until I receive Your wisdom and Your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God will be glorified, so stand!

January 27, 2021

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” Romans 8:18 NIV.

In times of difficulty it may be hard to hear God’s voice. It may look dark, and you wonder when like you will see light in your life again. Today, I am here to tell you to hold on, for weeping endures for a night, but joy comes in the morning. The battles you think you have to fight have already been won by God. Only He will be glorified. May knowing the glory that shall be revealed in you bear you up and help you mightily stand!

He will renew your strength. On His wings you will fly in the highest heavens. All you need to do is lift your arms, like Moses had to lift his staff to do God’s work, and Joshua had to raise his sword against Ai to ensure victory. Lift your arms and surrender, for there is freedom in surrender and in knowing the plans God has for your life cannot change. All things are working for your good and your glory, so keep standing because your victory will come.

Prayer: Father, thank You for strengthening me with Your Word. I pray that You saturate my soul with Your presence today. Get the glory Father. Nothing compares to the great glory that shall be revealed in me. With joy I will stand on You promises. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Your Mighty Refuge

January 26, 2021

“I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust’ ” Psalm 91:2, NKJV.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe” Proverbs 18:10, NKJV.

Trust has several meanings in the Old Testament, but it also means refuge. It is strong and steady that you can hope in and be assured of life. When I think about a refuge, it always brings about a vision of a house with a porch and I am standing under that porch protected from the rain. I can hardly see myself. I just mainly see what is covering me.

God is your strong tower and refuge. When we take refuge in Him, we are taking our very lives and putting it under the mighty covering of God. When so much is happening around us, it’s in Him that we can run to and put our trust. In Him, we can take shelter and find comfort in those times when it gets tough. When it’s hard to see your way through the storm, you can hide in God and He’ll get you through it all.

Prayer: I thank You, Father God, for being my refuge. In the midst of what I face, right now I make You my refuge. You are my shelter and you are covering me. Help me to make You, not the trouble, my mighty dwelling place. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sometimes, it’s all about adjustments.

January 25, 2021

“And I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health—that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul!” 3 John 2, Message Bible.

I remember going bowling with some friends, and I have two techniques I use to bowl with. Well, the first technique wasn’t getting me anywhere that night. I thought to myself this isn’t working, and maybe I need an adjustment. I began using my other technique and made two strikes in a row, and ended up with a good score.

Sometimes in life, we realize it’s time for an adjustment. As you embark on your new year, you may have been doing things one way, but you haven’t seen the results you know God wants you to have. You may have been handling a particular area of your life the same way, but you can admit it hasn’t been working.

Take inventory of where you walk is, and where God wants to take you. Look at your walk with God, your marriage, your finances, and how you can take them higher. Then, make the practical life adjustments to get there. Let God begin to change it now. Be lead by His Spirit, your Helper, to get to where God wants you to be.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise. You’re right. It’s time to make some adjustments. I refuse for these areas of my life to remain the same. Begin to show me what You have for me, especially for this new year. Help me to walk in step with Your Spirit for change in my life, so every area of my life can prosper! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Live Your Original Life!

January 23, 2021

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” Psalm 139:14, NKJV.

Even with all of the people on this earth, God has something specific in mind for your life when He created you. He has a select plan and purpose solely fashioned for you. It is one of a kind. No one has lived the plan that God has for you, and no one ever will.

Just as original as your DNA, your attributes and personality are, is as original as you are created. There’s only one ‘you’ coming through the earth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, highly-regarded as the creation of the Almighty. Formed by His hand, given good and perfect gifts to use to glorify Him.

The devil fights you so hard because you have been created so well in the image and likeness of God. Dare not believe that you don’t have greatness on the inside of you. Greatness is what He made you with. Dare not believe you are not equipped. Dare not believe that you are incapable. Reject all fear and move forward in who God made you to be. Live your original life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making this man an original. There will only be one of me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Greatness is inside of me. You don’t want me to delay living this great life that You have planned for me. I do have so much to live for. Continue to reveal Your purpose for me. I will live my original life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

You’re New Now

January 20, 2021

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV.

I remember when my family and I were taking a road trip from Columbus, Georgia to Miami a year ago. I knew that driving was best, but I did ask God whether we should rent a vehicle or drive our own. When He told me to take our van, I seriously wondered could our van make it. We’ve had that van for so long. Then God reminded me that I replaced the engine. The van doesn’t have that old engine any longer. It has a new one now.

Sometimes, it can be easy to think of yourself and your life like that old engine. You consider your past, what you’ve done and how you use to live, and you wonder can you make it. You wonder can you really do what the Father is asking of you, and can you really become the man God wants you to be.

Yet, let God remind you of who resides in you now, Jesus Christ. You have new engine. When you came to Jesus, all things have been made brand new. There’s not one thing regarding your old man that hasn’t passed away. You’ve been given a new start. You have a new life in Him to experience and joyfully live out. The blessing and favor of the Lord rests upon your life. God has redeemed our lives from destruction and Jesus has sitted us together in heavenly places with him. You now always have this position of victory in Christ Jesus. You have a new engine and there is nothing you can’t do through him. There’s nothing you can’t accomplish through him. For so long life was one way, but you’re new now.

Prayer: Father, thank You for making all things new. Jesus lives in me, I am a new man and I can be all that You’ve called me to be. I receive that it’s new now! I’m new now! Allow Your word to renew my mind to the great work You’ve done for me. I declare I leave my past and go forward into what You’ve destined for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

You Will Thrive

January 19, 2021

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God” Psalm 92:12-13, NKJV.

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” 3 John 1:2, NKJV.

You were made to thrive. You were made to soar. You were made for much more. Even under pressure, you still will thrive. Even when the unexpected happens, you still will thrive.

Jesus has given us the ability to thrive, to flourish, to prosper under the most unlikeliest circumstances. You are planted in the Lord, and you are planted in His house. It may look like you will be last, but you will be first. It may look like you will be at the bottom, but somehow God says your end will be on top.

Thrive is what you do.

Prayer: Father, I praise You today. You are good to me. Help me be planted and stay planted in Your house. Because I’m planted in You and in Your word, I will thrive. Even in the unlikeliest circumstances, help me to know that I will still bring forth fruit in my season. The devil can’t stop me. Let Your Spirit continue to fill me and direct me. I declare my life will prosper. I will thrive. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Being a willing and obedient man

January 18, 2021

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” Isaiah 1:19, NKJV.

Just like with Israel, it’s not only about being willing and having good intentions. It’s not only about being obedient. It’s about being both. God wants us to be willing and obedient.

As the potter does with the clay, let God shape you from being unwilling to willing, from disobedient to an obedience in what He’s been dealing with you about, or that next step He’s been asking you to take. It could be something He wants you to pursue, or it could be simply putting your trust in Him. We all have our reasons, but we have to make that decision to move forward in Him. Say no to any fear or doubt, and let Him move you into both—being willing and obedient. Rest assured that as you do, you will eat the good of the land. You will experience the fruitfulness in your life that you long for, that you know belongs to you.

Prayer: Father, I praise You! I want everything You have for my life. I want to be a light in these times. Help me, Jesus, to not be one or the other, but be take me higher in being both willing and obedient. I thank You that I will eat the good of the land. I won’t refuse You anymore. I will be a willing and obedient man. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m Resolved about Trusting You

January 17, 2021

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8, ESV.

“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock” Isaiah 26:4, ESV.

Trusting God can be hard sometimes, but that is where your faith becomes like the Rock you stand on. It is because we end up coming to a resolve. No matter what His will is, what God decides to do, or how He’s working a situation out, our resolve is to trust Him.

When you come to a resolved trust, your faith has a made-up mind. You say to yourself I’m not going back and forth about this. No more of not living free because we’re overly concerned about His outcome.

Whether God does it or He doesn’t, your resolve is to trust Him. Even whether God heals them or He decides to take them home, your resolve is to trust Him. Knowing God demonstrated His love toward you by Christ dying for you, it was not only to pay a dear price for your sins but also so in tough moments, you can let go and still trust Him.

Prayer: Father, I love You, and thank You for speaking to me. You are my Rock and Shield. You are my Banner of victory. Help my resolve to always be to trust You. I give it all to You today and I will walk with rock-like faith in You. Your will be done Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I will praise You at all times!

January 16, 2021

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” Psalm 34:1, NKJV.

Sometimes, you have to stop everything you’re doing right where you are and bless the Lord. Praise Him for His goodness and His mercy. Bless Him for all that He has done. Praise Him for being Him. Praise Him because He has come through for you every time. He is up to something amazing in your life. So praise Him now.

Make praise your attitude and your expression of faith. No matter what you’re experiencing or what you have, you won’t complain. No matter how others are responding, you have decided you will bless the Lord and His praises will be your only resolve and your only response. When you tell the Father He is awesome and He can do all things, the Father will inhabit your praise, and tell you that you are awesome and you can do all things also. When you say You are my Provider, He will say I have already provided for you now. As you bless the Lord, you’ll find Him blessing you!

Give God the glory with your praise and watch your joy remain full. Watch your strength remain full and your eyes of faith are kept on the Waymaker, on the One Who always brings you victory.

Prayer: Father, I will praise You for everything You have done for Me. There’s nothing You can’t do. I bless You for being You. I praise You for being my Savior, my Provider, my Deliverer, my Waymaker, and Friend. I remind myself of Who I serve and no matter what, I will bless the Lord. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Lead Your Family

January 14, 2021

“By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family…” Hebrews 11:7, Amplified.

Noah did what men in the world around him weren’t doing. He walked with God. He had a heart after the Lord, and He heard His voice of instruction to do something. Up to that point, it had not rained on the earth, yet Noah heard God tell him to build an ark. He then walked by faith, obeyed God, and built an ark for him and his family to be saved from the flood to come.

Like Noah, as the head of your family, lead in with your faith in the Lord in these times. He set the example for his family spiritually. He covered his family not only financially, but spiritually. He had his entire family on one accord helping to build something for God. He didn’t care about the persecution and ridicule from others around him. Noah wasn’t moved by the pressures of those that didn’t believe. He served the Lord.

Don’t be moved. Keep serving the Lord, and by faith, keep building. Build what is entirely centered on Jesus Christ to the saving of you and your household. Noah led his family by faith and seen God’s salvation and blessings, and so will you.

Prayer: Father, thank You! As for me and my house, we will serve You. You are a good God. Above all the ways to lead my family, help me lead them spiritually. Make my home centered on Jesus Christ. Make my home full of You. Help me build what is eternal to the saving of my household. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I Am a Changed Man

January 13, 2021

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV.

Pray this prayer with me today: Father we come to You in Jesus’ name, we give You all of the glory. Let no scars from my past hold me back. According to Hebrews 8:12, You remember my sins no more! He tried to take my life, but You have graciously given me life. I ask for power to release every experience that I’ve been through, from my choices to even prison time. I’m letting go and I receive how You define me.

I thank You for how far I’ve come and greatly rejoice in where I’m going. My past is gone and I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has changed my life! I don’t think the same, and I don’t drink the same. I’ve turned Jesus up and He helps me turn women down. I’m a new man. I am a changed man. The old has passed away and in Christ, all things are made new! Keep taking me higher in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Don’t allow a mess up to make you give up.

January 10, 2021

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” I John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ESV.

“And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption” 1 Corinthians 1:30, ESV.

We strive to be like Christ each day, but I can say I have yet to find perfection in myself. I have yet to find a perfect day. Even living a surrendered life, we have all yet to see a perfect life. Yet, I continue to find God’s mercy and grace pull me away from seeking perfection and keep my focus on doing what He called me to do.

Don’t allow a mess up to make you give up. You aren’t perfect, but don’t allow it to keep you from your perfect work. Jesus is your perfection. He knows all of you, and He still called all of you. In spite of what He’s working on in you, obey God and do what He called you to do.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise this morning. You are good! Help me to never allow a mess up to make me give up, or get me stuck. I allow Your new mercies and great grace to pull me out of a mistake. I’m moving forward. Jesus is my perfection. You are working on me, and I’m still going to do what you called me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Table of Surrender

January 9, 2021

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1, NKJV.

Have you ever heard of someone running away from an operation that they need? Sometimes, that can be us in our walk with God. We know we’re going to get up stronger and better. We know after it’s over, we’ll be able to run again. But we still evade it. Be encouraged to not fear doing what you know is inevitable. This year, you will have to get on the table called surrender. Let Him have His way. You will be stronger, better and you’ll run again. You’ll live your best life. It’s required to get to where you are destined to go. It is required to be all God called you to be.

Prayer: Father, I praise You. I ask for the grace to surrender all to You. Help me to set my life on Your table and let You do in me what You desire. Not my will, but Your will be done. Help me to trust You and know I’ll be better and stronger. I’ll run again. It’s because I surrendered. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Follow His instructions, it will turn out fine.

January 7, 2021

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” Isaiah 1:19, ESV.

If you’re like me when it comes to cooking, I don’t do much of it at all. My wife even says what would I do without her. Yet when I cook, it can feel a little intimidating when I begin preparing a meal. In the midst of what to do, how much to pour, and all the things that come with being in front of that stove, I would be reminded by God if I follow the instructions, it will turn out fine.

Whatever you are facing in your life that appears intimidating. Whatever giant is before you. Whoever the Lord is leading you to disciple or minister to. There may even be something the Lord has put on your heart that you’ve never done. Be reminded to get the instructions of God and then follow them. Those steps that He provides are sufficient enough. Those steps will bring you the success He has for you. Those steps will lead you into the restoration of God.

Don’t allow your focus to be on what you’ve never done, how will this turn out, how long will it take, how will they respond, or will you fail. The instructions are your part; causing it to succeed is God’s. Let Him determine the results. Sow your seed of obedience, and He will make it grow!

Prayer: Father, You are good, and You give great instructions. Help me not be afraid of what is before me, and remind me of what You have said. I ask for a hearing heart. I will obey You and follow Your instructions, and everything will turn out fine! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It Belongs to You

January 6, 2021

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we…and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” Numbers 13:30-33, KJV.

The men who didn’t believe that was with Joshua and Caleb assumed in fear and saw themselves as grasshoppers. Their unbelief kept them from entering into the promised land–a land flowing with milk and honey–and receiving what God had already given them. Yet, Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit than the other men, and they believed they could possess what God said belonged to them.

The Father wants your faith and boldness to be as Joshua and Caleb right now. What God has said is yours, belongs to you. Your God is with you! Take your faith and enter in. No matter the giant in your way, no fear the enemy tries to put in your way, be determined that nothing is keeping you from receiving what belongs to you. Even if you missed it, His will has not changed. Everything He has told you and is telling you about your life, everything God has spoken over you, that is who you are and what you can have, is yours to possess.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your word. I can have what You say I can have. A blessed and victorious life belongs to me. Help me to see myself through Your eyes. My God is with me! I will have faith as Joshua and Caleb and enter into the promised land you have for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Jesus has the words of eternal life.

January 4, 2021

“This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever” John 6:58, NKJV.

“But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” John 6:68, NKJV.

Jesus has the words of eternal life. If we knew how much life is in them, we would read them more. He likens Himself to the bread we naturally eat. However, He is the Bread that gives life eternally.

There’s nowhere you can go, or no person you can draw from to get the words that Jesus gives. His word will be the key to an amazing new year. His word is what you can eat of today, and it will last and produce blessings all the days of your life. Like Peter, humbly believe and receive the revelation that Jesus has the words of eternal life. As you receive a higher revelation of the life-giving word of God, the more time you’ll spend with it.

Prayer: Father, I praise You! Jesus, where else can I go? You have the words of eternal life. Take me higher in this revelation and may I gladly eat of Your word daily. Help me to meditate on what You show me daily and cause it to supernaturally bless every part of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

A Year You Go Higher

January 3, 2021

“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

This will be a year that you go higher. You will go higher in your relationship with God, your finances, your marriage, and your family. This is the year for a new level in your life.

Last year for some of us may have been a challenging one, but 2020 should have helped you see a new perspective on the one life you have to live. You should come out of 2020 with focus and vision. You should come out of 2020 resolute. You should now see Who and what really matters.

What the enemy meant to harm you, God is going to use for your good and take you higher than you’ve ever been in Him. You will reap a harvest of souls for Him. The faith you’ve shown last year, you will reap from in the year to come.

Prayer: Father, thank you for blessing me to see a new year. I receive that I will go higher in every area, most of all, in my walk with You. I will reap more people to the kingdom this year. Set my focus and help me obey You. Take me into new things this year. I declare I’m going higher. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

If He had not been on my side.

December 31, 2020

“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say” Psalm 124:1, NKJV.

If it had not have been for knowing that the Lord was on my side, I would have already lost it. I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. When it seemed like I was going down, He would always bring me up. When my family size increased, at the right moment, my income would increase too. When it seemed like my faith had been shipwrecked, He would allow a situation to show me I haven’t changed, and in fact, He made me stronger.

You have seen Him move too much in your past to not trust Him now. He has said time and time again that He is with you, and since He is with you, who can be against you? Your circumstance has no choice but to get better because of His promises. Your tribulation has no choose but to move out of the way of God’s goodness.

The Lord says don’t faint, but hope in Me. The Lord says have faith in Me because it will get better. The Lord says don’t turn from Me, don’t quit on me, because I already am making it better. He won’t let the enemy overcome you. He won’t allow you to go hungry. He won’t let you go without seeing His supernatural favor in your life. God is going to blow your mind with an outcome you didn’t realize He was capable of bringing to pass.

Prayer: Father, it looks like there’s no blessing in sight. But if it had not been for knowing You were on my side, I would have given up. But You are! I believe that it will get better! I choose to keep going and I declare all things are working for my good. Speak to me any direction that I need for this new year and I will follow You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You’re Called to Be Great

December 30, 2020

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8, NKJV.

You are not only forgiven and made free. You are anointed, Spirit-filled, endowed with the power of God to be used in an uncommon way. Power in the Greek here is “dunamis”, which means miraculous power, force, an abundance of ability from God Himself. The Holy Spirit is upon you. Not just anyone’s spirit, but God’s Spirit. The same Spirit that rested upon Jesus now rests on your life. He is in you for character, yet He has now come upon you for mighty service.

You are great and one of the best things you can do in your Christian walk is to not forget how awesome you now are in Christ. You are who God says you are, and you can do what God says you can do. There is no one or nothing that can stop you from doing the work God has placed in your heart to do. You have no barrier or blockades from the wicked one that can restrain the divine power you have.

You are not an ordinary man. God wants you to step into your awesomeness. Step into your greatness. The world needs to see you son of God yield to His Spirit and let Him use you. Allow the word of God to remind you today you have been changed into the likeness of Christ and you can change the world.

Prayer: Father, thank You for stepping into greatness. The Holy Spirit is upon me and I am anointed to be like Jesus. I declare Luke 4:18 over my life: that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. I thank You for making me great in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Don’t let go of His promises.

December 28, 2020

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” Hebrews 6:11-12, NKJV.

If I know, something is mine. If I know something is meant for me, I am not letting go of it.

Though the winds may blow. Though you may be pressing through some things this year. You may be waiting on a job, on a mate, or in pursuit of God’s will for your life. You may be believing God for your healing. You may even feel like giving up, but hold up your head and be deeply encouraged. Don’t let go of what He promised you. Don’t give up on His awesome will, and what He has specifically spoken to you.

Every promise from God is yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20), and don’t allow anyone or anything to convince you otherwise. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author, and Finisher of your faith. Now lean on Him, listen to the Holy Spirit, and keep believing. Keep praising. Keep joyfully standing. The Father has promised great things for you. Don’t let go.

Prayer: Father, thank You for encouraging me deeply. I’m not letting go. I will not let go of what You promised me. According to Your word, You will heal. You will provide. You will help me do this. Jesus, I lean on You right now for grace, and I follow You. Every promise I will receive. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Suit Up

December 27, 2020

“Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil” Ephesians 6:11, Amplified.

If God tells us to put on the whole armor, we probably will need it. We are probably going to be shot at by the devil. Yet, when we get hit, we wonder what happened or where was God? He was in the armor.

Some of us can ignorantly perceive that we aren’t in a spiritual war when we are. There is an adversary that plans against you. However, it is great to know that God plans are for you. He has a plan, a way, to prosper us regardless of the situation. When you put on the full armor of God, the weapon may get formed, but it won’t succeed. No matter the circumstance, you will handle it with power, wisdom, and fortitude. If you don’t want any unseen, evil scheme and strategy to have an impact in your life, make sure you suit up.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me. Help me to be a man that gets suited up every day. I ask for the grace to pray and put on Your full armor each day. The devil’s plans won’t succeed against me. Only Your plan for my life will. I suit up now, and I receive victory, power, and wisdom for any given situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Jesus came and made it alright.

December 25, 2020

“Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord’” Luke 2:9-11, NKJV.

In the midst of a time of uncertainty and man had the greatest need for a Savior, Jesus came and made everything alright.

Even in 2020, with everything that has happened this year, it’s great to know that Jesus still came. Let that sink in. He came today and you can be reminded that He still made everything alright. Just as nothing could stop the moment of His birth then, nothing could stop this moment of birth, your thankful celebration of Him, and the victory you have in Him now. Let His coming minister life and a strong hope to you, and enjoy your Christmas Day.

Prayer: Father, I praise You for Jesus. You came Jesus and was born for us. Thank You for the joy and victory that can never be taken away in You. You came and made everything alright. Move Into Your Purpose

December 24, 2020

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah 1:5, ESV.

A dear friend was successful as an engineer, but wake up one day and became a parole officer.

It is striking to wake up on the inside during your lunch break, to wake up while you are striking keys at a job that’s frustrating you, to wake up after you’re business, to wake up after ten years, to the truth that you are not fulfilling your purpose in life. Just maybe this job or this career path you have been grinding as if you were in a coal mine isn’t why God put you here.

Only God’s purpose, what He created us to do, will fulfill you. Just something or just anything won’t due. Just something or just anything won’t fit. Only God knows what fits. Yes, God can make you a millionaire from your purpose. He can richly satisfy you from your purpose. There’s a peace, a rest, that comes from living in your purpose. It can’t be manufactured. It can’t be duplicated.

Don’t let fear keep you from taking a leap of faith. God says jump because He’s given you wings through Jesus Christ. His covenant, His promises to His children is the sure way to soar. On His side, He will not allow you to fail! He will not let you down. He will be the wind beneath you and you will soar like an eagle in your purpose.

Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me purpose. That’s what I want to do. Along with knowing You, show me what you put me on this earth to do. Help me to go hard after it. I thank You for being in the place where I’m satisfied and being the greatest blessing. In my purpose is where You are glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He is the Word

Jesus is the Word, and He became flesh and dwelt among us. He experienced everything we experience. If you come draw near to God by opening your Bible to read it, whether day or night, hill or valley, good times or bad, Jesus will come near and dwell with you. Through His word, He will never fail to draw near to you with grace and truth.

God’s word has everything you need for life, strong faith and freedom. He is the Prince of Peace. He is your Counselor. He is the Lion of Judah. He is the Word of God.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the Word Jesus Christ. He is near. Help me to draw near to the Word today, somewhere in the Word–and find that you meet me right where I’m at in my life. Jesus will come near and meet my need. In Your great name I pray, Amen.

When you look around and observe what you have. When you consider your health and the family you enjoy, it is all because of Him.

It was the Lord that blessed you with it. It will be the Lord that continues to bless you with it. You do well on your in your craft because He gave, and gives you what’s required to excel. You didn’t make it through the rough times of life on your own. Jesus carried you through them, and He will always be carrying you. You overcome because of the Lord. You never have and never will be able to do any of these things apart from the mercy and grace of God.

Never forget that it is the Lord’s doing and not your own. Always let it stand alone as being marvelous in your eyes and cause praise to continue to erupt from your mouth. Let it cause a continual voice and attitude of thanksgiving to Him. Let it bring a response of what can I do for You God, because of all You have done for me.

Give no one the credit. Give no one the honor. This will keep you humble, gladly serving Him all your days. It is your reasonable service.

Prayer: Father, I take no credit. I dare not take any praise. I am blessed because of You. I am free because of You! You carried me and You carry me. It’s You that provided that open door. It is You that kept me and You are keeping me. I thank You for being rich in mercy and grace toward me. What can I do for You. I will never forget it is because of You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Take Care of Her

December 19, 2020

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her” Ephesians 5:25, NKJV.

Love her. Embrace her. Esteem her. Pray over her. Give her time to rest. Help her health. Speak the word over her. Speak blessings over her. Make her laugh each day. Cheer her up.

As Christ loves and cherishes the Church, do the same with your wife. They are strong, but they need our strength in these times. They may know the truth, but they need our encouraging reminders of it in these times. Stand between the enemy and your wife, and tell the devil he can’t get through God, and he can’t get through you to her. You are her called covering. She needs you right now. Help her to become all that God called her to be.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise. You gave me a wife and Your desire is that I love her as Christ loves us. Help me to be everything she needs me to be right now. Forgive me if I’ve been preoccupied. I ask to hear Your voice so I can lead her in these times. Give me direction for the new year. Give me insight into her needs and when she needs rest. I thank You for helping me be a great husband and take great care of her. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I Will Trust You By Seeking You!

December 18, 2020

“When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”” Psalms‬ ‭27:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass” Psalm 37:5, NKJV.

There are many answers we need that are found in simply seeking the Lord. The heart behind our decision to seek Him is we trust Him. When we seek Him, we allow our faith to declare Father, I trust that You can make things right.

He wants you to take all of your focus, all of your pursuits and put it in His hands. Sit it in His hands while you sit at His feet. Give it all to Him, including your life concerns, shifts to make, situations, and seek Him. Lift your hands in worship. As you do, He will accomplish more in you, and for you in that moment, than you would have ever been able to on your own.

Prayer: Father, thank You for encouraging me to put all of my trust in You by seeking You. You are a good Father. You are speaking to me, and it is time to trust in seeking You. Reveal to me how to not lean on myself, but on You. In a moment of seeking, change me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Nothing to say at Your feet.

December 16, 2020

“And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word” Luke 10:39, NKJV.

Sometimes in prayer, I just sit before the Lord. I have nothing to say verbally, yet my heart is speaking volumes. My heart has requests that are beyond what I can utter, or can articulate what I’m going through. We need His help every day, and to sit at His feet and listen for His voice, to be in His presence, is what we need.

Go before the Father in the morning and tell Him you are here. Still away on your lunch break and sit before Him. Tell Him you came to sit at His feet and hear what He has to say. Sit quietly before Him. Be still and He will remind you that He is God. His presence will show up right where you are and He will minister mightily to your life.

Don’t allow a lack of words to keep you from spending time with God. When you go before Him, when you bow before Him, when you lift your hands, when you sit at His feet, and when even as a man you cry, you are saying exactly what the Father wants to hear.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I can come before You. I sit before You right now. Even when I don’t have the words to say, hear my heart, as I hear Yours. No matter where I am, help me to be still and spend time with You. Thank You for Your faithfulness to always minister to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

As long as there’s Light, there’s hope.

December 14, 2020

“For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.” Psalm 36:9, NKJV.

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord” Psalm 31:24, NKJV.

While I was lying in my bed at night, I opened my eyes to a room completely dark. However, as I turned and looked through the window, a flash of light was shining directly at me. It appeared very small, but I noticed it was very bright and pierced through the darkness. Just that alone encouraged me.

You may feel like you are in a completely dark moment in your life. Your situation may seem like there is no way out, and you don’t know what to do. As a man, you’re tough inside, but what you are experiencing is really challenging your faith.

But know this: if you lift your head, if you will turn your eyes, you will see Jesus, Who is your Light and your life. He is always there. He is your Savior, King, and your Hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). As we turn to the Light, we will see light. As we turn to the Way, we will see a way. He will strengthen you, and you’ll see where the wisdom and favor is. You will see a divine purpose for it all, and God is bringing something good from this.

As long as you have him with you, there is always hope. I declare light is breaking through for you now.

Prayer: Father, I see darkness all around me, yet as I turn my eyes and look upon Jesus, my Light, and my life, I am always encouraged to have hope. I see the Light of the world and the Hope of glory. Jesus, You are with me, and through You, I see the light breaking through. I thank You, and I will trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Run to Obtain

December 13, 2020

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it” 1 Corinthians 9:24, NKJV.

Since you have to run your race, run in a way that causes you to obtain everything God has for you. Know that the same God that called you to your race is the same God that has equipped you to win it. In him, you will find every ounce of grace for your race. Even as we run, He renews our strength like the eagle. Even as you run, on every side, He will defend you, no matter what the devil tries to put in your way.

When you run like this, your adversary sees a resemblance of Christ–a man full of joy, faith, and focus, pressing toward the Father’s plan. He will pursue to derail you; however, he will find he can’t keep you from growing. He can’t keep you from climbing. He can’t keep you from winning.

A lot is happening around you, but keep running. Keep your eyes on obtaining the prize of Christ.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise today. Teach me how not only to run but to run in such a way that I obtain. I desire more of Christ formed in me. Through You, I can do all the things. Through You, I can lay hold of what You have for my life. I thank You for Your grace to obtain Your promises and the eternal prize of Your high calling. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He’s Making You Whole

December 12, 2020

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” Matthew 9:20-21, KJV.

“Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other” Matthew 12:13, KJV.

Whole means to be healthy, made well, to restore, to deliver, and to save.

You may have had some rough times, but God says He’s making you whole. He’s making you more than just okay. Get before God’s presence, stretch forth your life, and let Him supernaturally make you whole. Let Him minister to the core of you as a man. Let Him restore you. Let Him fill what is missing. There are some areas that only He can fix. He wants to make your issue whole.

Prayer: Father, I reach out to You and worship You. I step into Your presence. No one knows my issue but make this man whole. Make my faith whole. Make my confidence and my joy whole. I want to be more than just okay, and I thank You for making me well and restored. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I’ve Been There

December 11, 2020

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” Revelation 12:11, NKJV.

Man, I’ve been there. I’ve been where my faith has felt like it has been shipwrecked. I’ve been so afraid when people all around me thought I was so bold. I’ve lost the house that my wife loved. I’ve been evicted and had cars repossessed. I’ve been at the bottom. I’ve been in a place of confusion and unbelief about being able to do what He’s called me to do. I’ve been there when you have kids but not enough money to take care of them as you would like. I’ve been there doubting that I can be a good man. I’ve been there when I’ve felt like I couldn’t hear God’s voice at all.

I’ve been there, yet I say boldly to you my brother, I’m not there anymore. God did what seemed impossible for me, and He will do it for you. Jesus did something in me I thought couldn’t be restored, and He will do it for you. He won’t leave you there. He is actually right there with you. You may feel like how can He turn you around, but He’s going to pick you up and place you in your promised land, in your promised life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for encouraging me this morning and refreshing me with hope. If You did it for someone else, You will do it for me. Help me to continue to seek You and obey You. I will see good. I will see greater. I will see what You’ve promised me come to pass in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Happy is the man that trusts Him!

December 7, 2020

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalm 34:8, NKJV.

In the Hebrew language, the word blessed in this scripture means “how happy!” Therefore, the man that trusts in God, not in the way that seems right, or maybe even the easy way, will continually find abundant happiness.

Good things happen to the man that trusts God. The man that trusts God has decided to hear what the Lord has to say and allows that to be how He lives, how he patterns his life, and how he handles his affairs. He obeys God and He sees, tastes and discovers that God is good, merciful, and favors him. Most of all, this man finds that, rain or shine, the Lord is all he needs. This is the reason this man is so blessed, so happy.

If there is a specific area in your life that the enemy is trying to pull you out of believing God about, make the gritty decision to trust Him at His word today with it. You will taste and see that the Lord is good.

Prayer: Father, how blessed, how happy is the man that trusts in You! There is no one like You. I leap when I think about how good You are. Help me to realize how good You are and to simply trust You, for it is a sure blueprint to all of my happiness. You are my help and I will totally rely upon You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It Will Work Out

December 6, 2020

“Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matthew 6:27, NKJV.

It can be easy for me to tell you, don’t worry and that it will be alright, but I’m not there. I’m not in it. Yet, I can tell you that I’ve been there. I’ve been in it. I have found that while I was worrying, it didn’t add anything to me. It didn’t benefit me. I wasted all that energy and time for nothing. While I was worrying, God was moving, and He worked it out–His way.

We all get tempted to worry, but your response to the worry is what will make the difference in your day–in your life. You can choose joy and to keep moving forward instead. You can choose to worry about it, or in the midst of it all, choose to trust Him and His way. You can decide to listen to the enemy, or you can lean in and hear the whisper of the Lord say, I’m going to work it out.

Prayer: Father, thank Your for speaking to me. You know what I need every time. I choose to pray and praise You. I decide to walk in joy today. I choose to live! Worrying is a waster and will add nothing to me, but You will always add to me what I need. I receive Your peace about it now. I give it to You. You always work it out. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Call It Done!

December 5, 2020

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” Romans 4:17, KJV.

God calls those things that aren’t, as though they were. He calls it as He sees it, not how it appears. It will be as He desires in your life, not your enemy. He says who you are before your life began. He calls you rich while you have a small amount in your hands. He calls your marriage fixed while it appears to be broken. He calls you strong, when you wonder can you make it. According to His will and ability, He calls it already done.

Be like your heavenly Father. Expect and believe the battle is already won for you. Rejoice before anything happens. Say your financial needs are met before it materializes. Say you are healed, in spite of the symptoms. Your marriage is fixed, even if it appears broken. Say you are strong and excel in all things. Call the way already made. Call it done!

Confession: I am a man of faith, and I walk in joy today. I will not dwell on the problem, or on the enemy. I lift my hands up to a faithful God! will imitate my heavenly Father and call it done. I am victorious! I call my marriage healthy and working. I call my financial needs met. I call my children blessed. I thank my heavenly Father now for all He has promised me. I expect and believe the battle is already won for me. I praise my God, and I call it done. Hallelujah!

Tell Him “It is Written!”

December 4, 2020

“Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God’” Matthew 4:3-4, NKJV.

Jesus didn’t debate. He didn’t argue about the issue. He didn’t allow the devil to lead him into despair. In response to the devil’s temptations and schemes, in response to what the devil said about who He was and what God can do, He just simply said, “It is written”.

When it comes to everything in your life, declare it is written! Don’t fight with your own words, fight with God’s. Let God’s Word stand alone and win for you. Let it stand alone and show you how powerful it is. It is sharper than any two-edged sword. It drives away your enemies. His word is able to shut the mouth of condemnation when it speaks. It doesn’t buckle in the storm. It doesn’t waver and always comes through to bless you. It will tell you to hold on. His word will establish rest in your soul. God’s Word still has the same power now from the time that He spoke it. God doesn’t change and His Word doesn’t either. It is written.

Whether five minutes or longer, start somewhere and make the greatest commitment in your life to consistently spend time putting into your heart the word of God every day. Jesus couldn’t win without knowing what was written–nor can you.

Prayer: Father, I truly thank You for Your Word. You left us what is written so I can know You and build my faith. You left it so that I can use it to win my fight. Develop in me the habit, like Jesus, of saying what is written. Make it like a reflex in me! I commit to starting somewhere and putting Your Word daily in my heart and change my life. Thank You, Lord! I am victorious with Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You’re already out the boat, keep walking on water.

December 3, 2020

“And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus” Matthew 14:28-29, NKJV.

We usually focus on Peter sinking, yet he did what no other man, besides Jesus, had ever done. He got out of the boat and walked on water–so have you. You are walking on water right now and things are challenging your faith to go back to being comfortable. Things are challenging your faith to not remain diligent. However, you are so close to Jesus’ hands. You are so close to fulfilling the purpose of God for your life.

Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will press beyond fear. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will make it past the raging wind and sea in these times. Realize you’re already out of the boat. You’re already doing more and come farther than you realized you ever could. You have already changed more than you ever have. The impossible in your life is being done already. Keep walking by faith. Keep walking on the water and lay hold of what God has for you!

Prayer: Thank You Jesus for being a rock for me. I am already out of the boat, so I will keep walking on water. You will help me continue to do the impossible. You are taking me farther than I’ve ever gone. Through You, I can do this. Help me to stay focused on You and become all that You have called me to be! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, help me change my priorities.

December 2, 2020

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” Luke 12:34, ESV.

If we’re honest, we make time for what we deem important. Most of the time the thing that we say we don’t have time for, is the indicator of the very thing we need to make a priority. The things that we say we’re too busy for, are the very things that God is waiting to use to richly bless our lives with.

Each day the Holy Spirit reminds you. The Father is always patient with us. Yet, the truth is there are some places God wants to take us in life, even in the coming new year, that we will not arrive at as men without changing our priorities.

Whether it’s spiritual like your prayer life, or something practical like investing time into your health, change your priorities and watch God change your life.

Prayer: Father, I praise you and thank You for speaking to me today. Help me to change my priorities. There are some things in my life that are very important to You. Change my desires and my heart. It’s time to shift my priorities to Your will, and I receive Your grace to do it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He’s removing the old, establishing the new.

December 1, 2020

“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:19, NKJV.

One of the toughest parts of renovating a house is uprooting all the old things inside. From old cabinets, old tile, unwanted walls, windows, appliances, tubs, and more, it all must be removed and/or demolished. Yet, if we allow that house to go through the process, it will be made into something beyond what you can recognize, better than what you can imagine.

Your renovator is God, and He is removing the old and establishing the new.

He is removing your old mindset, old perspectives, and the old ways of doing things. He is uprooting the old pursuits, the ones that have not caused you to arrive at His plans for your life, into new pursuits that will. He’s giving you a new mind about your purpose and what indeed will fulfill you. You’re leaving the old places in your life. He is doing a new thing in your life, and He wants you to know and flow with it.

Your new has come. It is here. Don’t run from what is happening in your life. In these times, the believer that holds on to the old will remain barren and unfruitful with the old. The believer that lets God lead them into the new thing He’s doing will see great blessing and reward, you will see your dreams come to pass.

Prayer: Father, it may not feel comfortable, but I see now what You are doing. You are renovating me. Continue to remove the old and establish the new in my life. I don’t want the old any more. Help me to respond and do the new things You are showing me. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He is greatly to be praised!

November 29, 2020

“From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s name is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens” Psalm 113:3-4, NKJV.

As I looked outside my window this morning, I saw a clear, blue sky. The brightness of the sun was perfect as it was rising. I watched fresh breezes come by and blow on the trees. Even as a man, I hear the sound of birds chirping, as if they were happy to be alive.

I was too.

It’s the simple things that we find God in. It’s in the simple things that, when we stop and recognize them, we are reminded that He is Lord. Things are happening all around us, but look outside. You will see the Lord hasn’t changed and He’s still good. He’s still taking care of the sparrow, and He will take care of you. He took you past the last challenge, and He will get you past this one. His goodness, beauty of life and what He has in store for you hasn’t changed. He reigns, and you have the victory.

He is greatly to be praised!

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me. From the going down of the sun, to the rising of the same, You are to be praised! You are Creator, Alpha and Omega. All that I see, including me, speaks of Your glory. Jesus is Lord. You haven’t changed and Your plans haven’t changed for me. You are greatly to be praised! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Getting rid of the clutter in your life.

November 28, 2020

“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is” Ephesians 5:17, KJV.

Just as it is healthy to remove clutter in your home, it is healthy to remove the clutter in your life. You come to the understanding that some things are not in the will of God for you. Pursuing some things or someone may be a good idea, but not a God idea, which will result in us wasting our time, resources, energy, and focus. Before long, we find that our lives become overcrowded with the clutter, and we have been pulled away from the real opportunity, the real pursuit, the real plan from God.

Be wise and evaluate where you are and where you need to be going. Take the time to pray, and even fast, to understand what the will of the Lord is for you. In these times, clutter will cause you to become confused, stagnant, unfulfilled, and unhappy. Sometimes the guidance, focus and rest we seek can become very clear by simply getting rid of the clutter. Clear off the table of your life and let only the peace of God’s will remain.

Prayer: Father, I praise You. Reveal and help me to remove any clutter in my life. Every good idea or opportunity isn’t Your will for me. Show me what You have You told me to do, and not to do. What have You said now is not the time? Help me clear the table of my life, and let the peace and joy of Your perfect will remain. I make this my single pursuit and I thank You in advance for victory in this season and the coming new year! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He’s Preparing You

November 27, 2020

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. He has made everything beautiful in its’ time…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 11, NKJV.

No preparation time is ever lost time. If a baby is born prematurely it could die, or be born, but not be able to optimally live. Yet, the Lord has set a time for the baby to be in the womb and then the birthing comes.

You may say you’ve been preparing for a while, but don’t rush. Let Him operate according to His timing and calling. God will always make sure that you are ready and can handle what He has destined for you. David was tending sheep when he was called to be king. He also killed the lion and the bear, before he slayed Goliath. There’s something you are tending to that God is using to prepare you. There are some battles and some tests that are preparing you for another ahead.

Jesus was prepared for 18 years until he stepped into full-time ministry. If Jesus had a time of preparation, so will you, and just as this verse of scripture says, it will be beautiful in its’ time.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me today. You have comforted me and given me peace. Keep preparing me according to Your season and time. Never mind when I want it. Keep my motives right Father. Help me allow the Holy Spirit to keep shaping me. No preparation time is lost time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bless the Lord because He blesses you.

November 26, 2020

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” Psalm 103:1-2, NKJV.

After we read the blessings of God toward us in this psalm, we can only be full of thanksgiving. There is no other response, but to bless, or praise, Him in return. The Lord fills every place and speaks to every part of your life, declaring that He continually spiritually and physically each day blesses you.

We bless the Lord because He blessed us. Praise the Lord because He keeps blessing you. No matter what you have or don’t have, who you couldn’t travel to see, or who isn’t here anymore, let the psalm of His word bring an overflow of joy. Receive peace and strong gratitude as you decide to trust in His love and sovereignty. That’s what His word is meant to do.

With all that is in you, bless the Lord. Bless His holy name!

Prayer: Father, I bless You. After I read the Psalm of Your word, there’s no room for complaining or anything else. I am grateful to see another Thanksgiving. I bless Your great name! I thank You for being so good to me. Even in a pandemic, You have taken care of me. May I speak Your manifold blessings over my life daily, and I’m thankful to know You are for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

When you see what really matters.

November 24, 2020

“And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you” 1 Thessalonians 3:12, ESV.

This past weekend, I was able to see some old friends that are like family that I haven’t seen in a while. I often say about the friendships that I’ve had since college that if I put them next to what they would look like in heaven, there would be no difference. That’s how much of a blessing these people are to me. We laughed and talked, and it is such a blessing to see people that we love.

In this holiday season, you will realize just how much you love and appreciate the people God has put into your life. Count it a blessing to have the family and friends that you have in this hour. Treasure and appreciate it deeply. If you have any issues or divisions with those you care about, let God’s healing be. Let love be. Amid everything happening around us, you notice in times like these what really matters.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking to me. What a precious time this is, and I appreciate it even now more than I ever have. I am overjoyed to have family and friends to love. Help me always to count my blessings. With everyone I know, help me to let love be. This is what really matters. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Power of His Blood

November 23, 2020

“That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” Ephesians 2:12-13, NKJV.

I remember we had a blood drive at work, and I gave a unit of blood. As I sat in the chair, as I was pricked with the needle and inserted into my vein, I realized my blood was being given to literally help someone live. As I watched the blood flow from me, I was soberly touched because this is what Jesus did for me.

This is what Jesus did for you.

He hung on a cross and shed not just a unit of blood, but every ounce he had for our atonement and redemption. Sin made us far, but the blood of Jesus has brought us near. We once were separated from God, but now we’ve been brought near having forgiveness, a better covenant, better promises, and hope.

The life of the body is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). The blood has done everything you needed it to do for you. Whatever was behind you in your life, no matter what it is, the blood has settled it. You are free and nothing hold can you down. You can literally live now. Live by faith in the power of the blood.

Prayer: Father, I give You the highest praise, hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus, for the power of Your blood. Help me to put all my faith in its’ power. All Your promises are yes and amen, and my hope is in Christ. Nothing can hold me down today. I can live. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Keep Following Jesus

November 22, 2020

“But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing” Luke 9:11, NKJV.

The people at this moment decided to follow Jesus and He didn’t turn them away. He didn’t turn their need away. He received them. Jesus took care of all their needs. The Lord took care of the whole man. He ministered to them spiritually, healed them and miraculously feed them.

There will always be the blessing of being received by Him, when you follow Him.

There will never be a moment when you decide to follow Him, that He won’t receive you. There will be no mention of what you have or haven’t done. He won’t reject you and your need, but welcome you and your need. He won’t turn you or your need away.

Keep choosing to follow Him. He’s going to welcome you, the whole man, and take care of you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for all You’ve done. Thank You Jesus that as I follow You and come to You that You will receive me. You welcome me to come and receive of You. I am never condemned or rejected. As I follow You in these times, help me to trust that You will continue to take care of all of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He is Faithful

November 21, 2020

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” 1 Thessalonians 5:24, NKJV.

The word “faithful” appears 28 times in the Old Testament and 50 times in the New Testament. We are living in a time when we are seeing God’s faithfulness like never before. He is faithful to His promises, His Word, and faithful to keep His covenant with us. If He is faithful, everything about Him is faithful also.

You will never need Him, and He not be there. He is a very present help in time of need. You will never need provision and He not provide. He supplies all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. You will never be in trouble and He not make a way. Even when you haven’t been faithful, He will always be faithful to you. You will never lose something and He not cause you to experience it again. He is faithful to restore you.

Maybe you use to be strong in God and you’re wondering can you get that fire again. You have seen what God can do in your life and you are wondering if He will move again? Yes, God can, and yes, God will. Faithful is He that has called you, He also will do it. He will show Himself to be faithful to shaping you into the man He has called you to be–into the image of Christ Jesus. You may not know how, but what He has promised my brother, He will do because He’s faithful.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness toward me! I rejoice over Your promises toward us. I set my heart and mind on Your faithfulness. Thank You for not giving up on me. Thank You for Your will for me, and making everything in my life better than I could ever imagine. I’m staying on the Potter’s wheel. You will get me there. You are faithful. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Make It Count

November 20, 2020

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” Psalm 90:12, KJV.

If you were given a year to spend one million dollars, how would you use it? But if you were only given one day to spend that same million dollars, you would use it an entirely different way. The basis for your wisdom would be you only have one day.

This is the reality God wants to give us regarding life. You only have one. It is but a vapor, a few seconds. It is here one day and gone the next. Before you realize it, this life is going to be over, and you will ask yourself what did you do regarding your walk with Jesus and with all of the things God put in your heart, with all He had for you in this life.

God has given you His Son and has put so much inside of you. So many faith adventures. So many thoughts and plans He has for you. Do what He put in your heart. Love while you can, and live life now. Number your days and make it count.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. As I step back and look at my life, You have given me much Lord and I thank You. Teach me to number my days and to apply my heart to wisdom. I will not waste my life. With all You have put in me, help me to make it count and run for you Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

The Best Man I Can Be

November 18, 2020

“So you, my son, be strong [constantly strengthened] and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus” 2 Timothy 2:1, Amplified.

Pray this prayer with me today: Good morning Father, You are good and Your mercy endures forever! I give You praise for Who You are and there is none like You. Thank You Jesus for saving me and it is only by Your grace, Your empowerment, that enables me to live for You. Help me to be strong in Your grace to be the best man that I can be. Help me to be the best husband I’ve ever been. Help me be the best father I’ve ever been. Encourage me to be the best employee and the best boss that I’ve ever been. I pray in this season Your best comes out of me! Fill this day with the best of times for my life. I ask You to use me to impact someone’s life in a mighty way today. I am a light for You! Be confident that God isn’t done with you.

November 17, 2020

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6, NKJV.

You can be confident that God isn’t done with you. God’s response is you are My son, and I will perform the work that I have begun in you. He is faithful that called you. God never sleeps nor slumbers. Night and day, the Lord your God is doing a good work in you.

You can be confident and fully persuaded of that. Whether you feel like He’s close or you feel like your last sin, don’t let go of your confidence toward Him. Keep coming to God. Hold your head up in confidence and with joy as a son to his father — He’s not done with you!

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your love and faithfulness. Thank You that I can always be confident of the good work You have begun in me. You will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. I am before you and I gladly say keep working on me. I praise You now. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Abide in Him

November 15, 2020

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” John 15:5, NKJV.

When a baby is born, they immediately cry for their mother. The newborn desires to stay connected, just as in the womb, knowing where their food and protection comes from.

We may be grown men, but we have a similar dependency. We have to abide (dwell, reside, hang out, remain, be settled) in Jesus. He will help you live strong. He is the True Vine and we are the branches, and apart from Christ, we can do nothing.

It is humbling when we realize we can produce no good fruit—love, joy, patience, self-control, goodness, faithfulness, longsuffering, kindness, and gentleness on our own. You will find these are not times to pursue to be strong in yourself because your strength will run out. Yet, when you live connected to Him, when things happen, you won’t be shaken because His grace is sufficient, and Jesus is enough.

Pray in the morning, yet continue to pray. Praise God in the morning, yet continue to praise Him. Abide in His word in the morning, and stay there. These are the small keys that will help you abide in Him.

Prayer: Father, thank You, Jesus, that You are all I need. I ask for the grace and focus to abide in You and Your word today. Not just in the morning, but may abiding become the way that I live. In the midst of everything happening around me, let Your fruit overflow. Because I dwell in You, I will not be shaken. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

On Your Journey, But Not Alone

November 14, 2020

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God” I Corinthians‬ ‭2:12‬, ‭NKJV‬‬.

“The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” John 14:17, NKJV.

We all are on our own life journey, and who would have known the things we would go through. Yet, Jesus left us the mighty Spirit of God. You have the very Spirit of God living on the inside of you. Let the reality of God’s Spirit with you, and in you, be made more real than ever. Let the reality of God’s Spirit cause you to draw closer to Him. Your life journey was never meant to walk alone.

May He have His way of directing you and revealing what God has freely given you–in this life and the hope of what is to come. May He lead you into God’s presence to refresh you and give you a second wind. The Holy Spirit will help you be victorious on your life journey.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your mighty Spirit. He helps me walk in victory in my life journey. Holy Spirit, I receive grace right now to continue on. I receive peace, strength, and direction. Make known to me what the Father has freely given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

God IS Love

November 13, 2020

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” 1 John 4:8, NKJV.

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6, NKJV.

Faith works by knowing the mighty love God has for you.

You are God’s son and the first thing God wants you to receive is that He loves you, and there’s nothing He won’t do for you. He IS love. He is not evil. He sent Jesus, not to show His strength or to get glory, but because He loves you. He sent one son to save another. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve messed up, it doesn’t matter how broken we may feel, it doesn’t matter what we’re going through, His love is the same as when Jesus died for us.

Through this revelation of His great love for you, you can put your faith in Him, even in these times. You can say I see the peril in the earth all around me, but God is love, and He directs that love toward us. We can trust Him at all times. You can stand and believe He will move for me according to His Word because He loves me. We can say with faith He’s already worked it out on our behalf because He loves us.

Prayer: Father, there is nothing you won’t do for me your son. Nothing. Whether I feel it or not, you love me. Help me to receive the revelation to core of me that You love me, and even share it with others. Let it be applied in all I do and cause it the spark a revolution in my life to where I exercise my faith more in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have you truly prayed about it?

November 12, 2020

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7, NKJV.

Sometimes, I find myself pacing back and forth in my mind about something I already prayed to God about.

At least I thought I did.

If we are worrying, have an unrest about something, or just simply thinking about something too much, we have to ask ourselves have we really prayed about it to God? Have we just thought about praying, but not prayed? Have we only did a drive-by prayer on our way to work, or church, or is it something we really took it before the Father? Have we took it before Abba-our Papa? Have we put aside other things to inquire of God about, and said I’m going to on purpose take time to specifically pray about this. Take time to give to God and truly pray regarding that one thing.

We should stand in prayer free, transparent and humble before Him. He will stand before you also, revealing His will for your life, with the answers, the reassurance, the direction, the peace that you need that will keep your heart and mind by Christ Jesus.

Lastly, when you truly pray about it, always thank Him. You will find you can’t thank God and worry at the same time. Give time to thanking God for Who He is, what He has done and you are reminded of what He can do! Again, go ahead and thank Him, considering that He’s good and call it already done!

Prayer: Father, Papa, You are good and I thank You for always hearing me when I pray. I thank You for all You have done and You always come through for me. I take the time to pause and truly humbly pray about this situation or this person in my life. Here I am and I listen to You now. I already call it done! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He will be right on time!

November 11, 2020

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil” 1 Peter 3:12, KJV.

“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word” Psalm 103:20, KJV.

When you don’t see anything happening, it can be challenging to remain confident and encouraged that God will come through when you need Him to. This is especially when you are in a tough situation right now.

But know this: God’s eyes are on you, God’s ears are toward you and He will be right on time.

God sees you, He has heard you and He is moving on your behalf. God is moving like an underground workman, handling all the intricate details of your prayers, of your life, that you can’t see. His angels move at His word on your behalf, in your marriage, on the provision, the opportunities, the favor, and the open doors that we can’t see. He not only sees our immediate need, but the things we don’t even realize we need also. He is bringing about His perfect will for you.

Your God never sleeps nor slumbers, and He never fails to perform His word. Praise Him now with confidence because God is always in control, and He will be right on time.

Prayer: Thank You Father for encouraging me. I am having to trust You more and more. It brings me joy knowing that You see me, that You hear me and that you are always on time. You won’t be late. Give me great peace today. I ask for patience as I wait on You. I will praise You now. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

More of Him

November 8, 2020

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ ” Philippians 3:8, NKJV.

I don’t need of more of me in my life. I have seen what more of me can do. It comes to a point in your life as a man, that you realize what you need. It’s more of Him.

Desire more of His will and His word. Desire more of His love and His Spirit to navigate you. He has great things in store for you. There’s wisdom that only He can provide you. There’s valleys that only Jesus can carry you across. There are fears that only He can get you beyond. There are walls that only through Him you can breakthrough.

If you are going to have more of anything, pursue more of Him.

Prayer: Father, thank You that You say I can ask and I will receive. I want more of You in my life. You are ultimately Who can shape me. Help me to spend time in Your word like I never have before. I want more of Your will, more of Your plan, more of Your results and more of Your change in me. Help me let go of it all and desire more of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t let the word stand alone. Stand with it.

November 7, 2020

“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” Isaiah 40:8, NKJV.

The word of God doesn’t have seasons. It doesn’t change. It doesn’t work one moment and then fails the next under pressure. It does not wether or falters. No matter the conditions or storm, His word remains the same and stands forever.

Look around you. When the dust settles, the word will still be standing.

Your life or situation may appear one way, and feelings may come, and they may go. But since the word of God will stand even amid everything going on around you, make a decision today to stand with it. Your peace, your power, and your breakthrough to move forward are found in your standing with His word. Even with having done all you know to do, you stand.

Every word the Father has written, and what He has spoken about every part of your life, will come pass!

Prayer: Father, I praise and glorify You! Your word will not change. It will stand! Help me spend time in Your word, hide it in my heart, and stand with it. On purpose, I speak Your word over my life. It’s not going anywhere, and as I stand with it, I won’t either! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Your Steps Are Ordered

November 6, 2020

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way” Psalm 37:23, NKJV.

When I was young in knowing God, I use to think that life was going to be smooth and everything was going to fall into my lap. Success was going to be easy. Little did I know the trials and obstacles I would face. Little did I know the failures I would end up having, and the opportunities I would find myself missing.

Yet through it all, I have found something amazing about what God does for a good man: He orders his steps. He always brings triumph from our trials. When we don’t see a blessing coming, it comes and affirms He is with us. When one door closes, another will open for you! You will always run into something good, as if God had been at work the entire time. It’s because He was.

You will come to realize that not some, but all of your steps are ordered by the Lord. Regardless of what you experience or see, do not let go, do not sway, do not be discouraged from being a good man. Remain a good man that does good things because God is ordering your steps.

Prayer: Father, I praise You for Your word. Everything’s going to work out. Help me to continue with faith, being a good man that does good things. I will see victory come to pass. Deeply plant Your ways in me and give me a hearing ear in these times. You delight in my way and the steps of a good man are ordered by You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He’ll Find You

November 5, 2020

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing” Luke 15:4-5, NKJV.

Sometimes, in life, we can lose our way. I don’t know if you’re somewhere in your life that you never planned to be. You may be in a place where you have more questions than answers. You could have done something, and you feel like the worst person on the planet. You want to get back to where you’re living again. You’re strong in Him again. No matter where I’ve been in my life, I have found Him to meet me there, even at the most unexpected times.

No matter where you are, He’ll find you.

He is the God that will leave the ninety-nine to find the one. That is for the sheep that are lost. How much more for those that know Him and walk with Him? He will find you and pull you up, and get you to a place of green pastures.

Prayer: Father, thank You. I needed that. Sometimes, things can feel crazy in life. Yet, I praise You in knowing that You always find me. Jesus, You know what it’s like to live this life, and You know how to help me through it. I receive Your joy and a hope that is refreshing me right now. You are picking me up right now. I’m Your sheep, and You will meet me and lead me to a place of green pastures in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Be Filled With Him

November 4, 2020

“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians‬ ‭5:18-19, NKJV‬‬.

After we have received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God tells us to let Him continually fill us. The Greek translates be filled as in “be being continually filled by the Spirit”.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is like a
cell phone. You have a cell phone, but you must daily fill it with power so that you can use it wherever you go. Without that charge, you will have a phone with all the calling ability and apps access that you need, but you won’t be able to use it. The Holy Spirit gives us power. The Holy Spirit empowers us to love and live victorious where ever we go. The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) will help you reign over whatever you find yourself facing.

I challenge you to be filled with the Spirit today. Spend time before God and He will stir you up and charge you up. You have everything you need in the Holy Ghost to live strong and live led by Him, guided by Him. By the Holy Spirit, live victorious today!

Prayer: Father, You are good and have been good to me. Help me to spend quality time with You to begin my day and allow Your Spirit to continually fill me. Charge me up! Even if I have to step outside of my comfort zone, I’m going to sing and declare Your word over my life today. By Your Spirit, today will be a victorious day. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

He will guide and satisfy you.

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” John 7:38, NKJV.

Your Father has streams of insight and revelation flowing. Streams of wisdom are flowing throughout the body of Christ. There are streams of wealth and direction flowing. Jesus is the well that never runs dry, and the Holy Spirit is with you. You will not go hungry because you are locating the streams from God flowing in your life. They are there, so you do not and will not go without, no matter what is going on in the world around you. As for you as His son, regardless of the feelings that come and go, He will take care of you. It will get brighter for you. His power will show up for you. Jesus will guide and satisfy you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for satisfying and guiding Your people right now. I set myself to locate and be taken care of by the flowing streams in my life. Help me to perceive what You are doing and jump in. Jesus is my well of waters so I can live, and You never run dry. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

When Seasons Change

November 2, 2020

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1, NKJV.

As I looked outside our window this morning, I noticed how the tree leaves aren’t green anymore. They have gone from being bright, lush greens into rustic oranges, yellows, and browns. A new season had come. Eventually, those leaves will fall off, and new leaves will come again. It reminded me of the truth that seasons change.

Seasons do change. People close to us sometimes leave the earth, and we cry. Sometimes, one thing ends so that something new, a new purpose of God, can begin. God will move us from one season to another during our lives. Your leaves may change, but your God remains the same. You may be looking forward to a new season, but never forget to enjoy the one you’re in because just as there is beauty in the summer, there is beauty in the wintertime. God moves, and You will see His mighty hand in both. Although sometimes it can get hard, God will always bless your seasons.

No matter the season, the Lord is in it with you, and you will have the expected end that He promised you.

Prayer: Father, I appreciate Your love and grace. Seasons do change, and there is a time for everything. Help me to see and recognize the awesome seasons in my life and to trust You are with me in them. As You move in my seasons, may I move with You. Thank You for blessing me with victory in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A wise and courageous response to emergency.

November 1, 2020

“Do this, knowing that this is a critical time. It is already the hour for you to awaken from your sleep [of spiritual complacency]; for our salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed [in Christ]” Romans 13:11, Amplified.

An emergency means a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.

It is one thing to know you have an emergency. Is another thing to have an emergency, but not realize that you are in it. What can be the difference maker is the timing that you realize it. What will be the difference maker is how quickly you respond. Your wise and courageous response in an emergency could be all the difference.

We are in an emergency moment. Your response to God to take your relationship higher and deeper in Him is important. The instructions He’s giving you about your assignment are important, especially regarding your attention to the people you love in your life. The Lord wants us to recognize this crucial time for what it really is, and do not delay in maximizing it. Your response is going to literally save lives.

Prayer: Father, I praise You! We are truly in the midst of an emergency moment. There is a crisis happening all around me. Jesus, I recognize it. We are calling on You. Help me to respond to You. Help me to not delay. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The best way to handle going through something.

October 30, 2020

“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed” Acts 16:25-26, NKJV.

“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place” Psalm 91:9, NKJV.

The most powerful thing you can do when going through any situation is to abide in God. Exercise your faith and make Him your dwelling place. Pray and praise. Be still and take up resident in the Lord. Think on His word and exalt Him alone. He is your refuge, fortress, and shield. He is your Strength.

If you keep your mind on Him and not the problem, that is where you will find life and peace. Your situation is real; however, your God is real too. The One Who delivers and fights your battles is with you. The God of the breakthrough is with you. Your Provider is with you. No matter what it may be or how complex it is, your situation is no match for your Waymaker. He has already handled your situation. Dwell in Him today.

Prayer: Father, the answer to getting through my situation is You. By faith, I give it to You in prayer now. I make You my dwelling place now. I decide to want You the most, not my circumstance. Give me the diligence to continually think on Your Word. By faith, I say it’s already done. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Your Peace, Your Success

October 29, 2020

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” Joshua 1:8, NKJV.

I don’t know one man that doesn’t want peace and success.

God told Joshua to meditate in His word day and night. Observe to walk in it, and the result will be peace (one Hebrew meaning for prosperity) and good success. His word is life to you. When you apply it, it will make your way prosperous. When you address issues the way He says is the best way to resolve them, your way will be made prosperous.

God is love, He is all-wise, a Rewarder, and there is no spot in Him. If He said anything to you in His word, it will not fail based on His character alone. So think on His word and hide it in your heart. Let the Bible be your structure, your go-to manual, your problem-solver, your mind-keeper, your key to having a blessed life. It will without fail reward you and those around you with life, peace and good success.

Confession: I will esteem God’s word. It is life and health for me. It is strength for me. It is the resolution for any issue or circumstance I face. It is the key to every reward and blessing in my life. With God’s help, I can hide it in my heart and it reflect in my life. I thank God for peace and good success because I meditate and observe to do God’s Word. Thank You Lord!

“May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” Psalms‬ ‭115:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

I had a dream I was sitting down at a table with basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. He pulled out an open envelope, and inside of it was money. I began flipping through it, and there were many $100 bills. Then, once I got through looking at that one, he passes me another folded opened envelope, and it had letters in it, but in between the letters was more money. One was a wad of $100 bills. Then, he said, oh, I forgot one, and passed me another envelope with many high dollar gift cards as well. I left the table, took one of the envelopes, and sat it by the door of my uncle’s house. I was so full of joy. I was so thankful in the dream, and I wake up praising God!

I believe God is about to do something financially for His people, and there will be waves of it. We will be blessed financially, and then we will be a blessing. Prepare your heart and your life to receive it. God knows you have need of it for the kingdom, as well as for your household.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise. You are faithful to not only meet my need, and You are faithful to do beyond what I can ask or think in the financial area of my life. I receive it, and help me to prepare my life for it. As you bless me, I will be a blessing. Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Faith isn’t pretty sometimes.

October 25, 2020

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?’ that is, ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'” Matthew 27:46, NKJV.

“And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him…” Matthew 28:7, NKJV.

I wonder how the people felt looking at their beat-up King on the cross. He didn’t look like the same powerful Man they walked with. He didn’t do anything while marred on the cross. I’m sure they wondered what do we do now because it looks like it’s over. Even Jesus Himself felt forsaken by the Father. It all just didn’t appear to be a victorious time at that moment.

It can be the same for us in our own lives, and sometimes, faith isn’t pretty. You were believing God for something, but He didn’t do what you thought. You prayed and asked God to keep that job, but they still let you go. You asked God to restore that relationship, but you both ended up parting ways. It can become hard to believe in times like these.

But remember this. Jesus died and it was a rough time…but He rose. He said He would allow something to die in your life, and it may be a rough time, but He will bring you through it and bless your life even greater. It can feel like the Lord has no plan for you, but He had a plan all along, and what appeared to be your end will become your victory. This is the hope that we lift up high in Christ. Keep your faith in Him.

Prayer: Father, You know what my faith needs. It’s been rough, but You are faithful. It hasn’t been pretty, but I’m still here. Help me to continue to walk by faith, even when I don’t understand. I know You are good, and I choose to trust You. I choose to keep living for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Redeem the time.

October 24, 2020

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” Ephesians 5:15, NKJV.
Redeem means in the Greek to buy back, ransom, to rescue from loss; improve opportunity. As you realize the times we’re in, let your perspective turn toward living a life poured out.

Allow the goodness of God and Christ to be experienced through you. From helping someone, to launching what’s in your heart, whatever you can do to impact this world while you yet have the opportunity to do so. People are hurting, hungry for love, and in desperate need for the answer Jesus Christ. Be a redeemer of the times, and win others back to Him.

Prayer: Father, I praise You. Thank You for this understanding today. Help me to redeem the time. Help me to remain focused on what truly matters right now. The days are evil and people need Christ. Use me and shine through me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Giant faith on the inside!

October 22, 2020

“Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand…” 1 Samuel
17:45-46, NKJV.

David was small in stature on the outside, but he had faith bigger than Goliath on the inside. The Lord was bigger than any giant he faced. That’s how he saw his God, which was the source of what he believed he could do with the Lord on His side.

No matter the giant you are facing, even an inward battle, it doesn’t bear in comparison to the size of your God. The Lord towers over your adversary as the sun towers over the earth. He is all-powerful and has all authority. He reigns, and He is more than able to bring victory in your life.

Don’t back down from what God has called you do, called you to overcome or be free in. Fight for the will of God. Fight for what is in your heart to accomplish. The real giant–Jesus Christ–lives inside of you, and through Him, there’s nothing you can’t do!

Prayer: Father, You are great and there is none like You! I will not back down in my faith. I stand knowing You are on my side. Through You, I will defeat this giant in the name of Jesus! It is no match for You. I will fight with giant faith. I believe in the Christ in me to overcome! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

It’s Working for Your Good

October 21, 2020

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28, KJV.

It may not appear like it, but everything you have been through will come together for a bigger and glorious picture. From every single experience, every mistake, every trial, every hurdle, every test that you’ve faced, God will make sure you experience every single promise of blessing because you love Him and you are called by Him.
Nothing can derail God’s plan for your life. Whatever you’ve been through, whatever you’re going through, will make you better, stronger and wiser. So don’t be occupied in your mind with regret, but rather be thankful. Don’t live in the “what if’s” of the past, but rather be thankful, for God will make it benefit you and someone else going through the same experience. God will make it work for you, not against you, and the devil can’t stop the restoration power of God. God is a good God. He will set you in victorious places and blessings, just as if you didn’t go through anything at all.
Be encouraged. He’s causing it to work for your good!

Confession: God is a good and I am thankful that all things are working together for my good! No matter how it feel, it’s working for me. I will decide to give thanks, and praise the Lord! I will not live in worry, regret, or fear. I Thank You God that Your plan is in front of me and is unfolding right before my eyes. I am truly a blessed man and I thank You Lord all things work for me!

No weapon formed against you will prosper!

October 18, 2020

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me’ says the Lord” Isaiah 54:17, NKJV.

There are weapons we can’t see being formed against God’s people in these times, but they won’t work, and God will not allow them to. You are like God’s weapon in the earth, formed in His image and likeness, formed to work and formed to prosper.

Instead of seeing the devil’s plots against you work, God’s word, His ways, and His plan will work for you instead. You will see God’s goodness and favor work for you instead. You will prosper instead!

Don’t be derailed from standing in faith because you have encountered something formed against you because surely God will not lose. You have a heritage of victory from God. Victory runs in His family, and He will dominate for His sons, as He did through Christ!

Prayer: Father, thank You, Lord, that no weapon formed against me shall prosper or advance in my life. Your will for me will prosper instead. Your word will prosper instead. Your plan and Your leading will prosper me instead! Help me to stand in faith, knowing Christ has given me a heritage of winning. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

A man’s secret struggle with pornography.

October 17, 2020

“I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.” Job 31:1, NLT.

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” James 5:16, NLT.

Victoria isn’t the only one with a secret. Victor has one too. He struggles with pornography. It is eating away at his view of intimacy with his wife. Graphic sexual images have been set up in his mind, that he can still see them from ten years ago. When he makes love to his wife, he mentally sees other women too. He knows Christ and doesn’t know what to do.

Victor isn’t a real person but represents many men struggling in secret in this area of their lives. If this is you, know that God loves you and holds no condemnation over you. The Father says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). He also says there is power when we open up about it, even the power to be healed from it.

The secret of pornography is not worth the open loss of your family. It is not worth your walk with God. Renew the covenant you made with your eyes when you got married. God gave you your wife to meet all your sexual needs. If you’re single, renew the covenant you made with your eyes when Christ came into your life. Save your eyes and passion for the wife that you haven’t been blessed with yet. Jesus came in the flesh and defeated the works of the flesh. He will help you can overcome it.

Prayer: Father God, thank You that Your truth makes us free. Help me to open up about my struggle. Forgive me and help me to honor the covenant with my eyes I made to my wife and children. I ask for help today. I ask for power today. I say “No” to pornography today, and the next day and so on, until the enemy understands, I’m not going that way. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay with it. You’re coming forth as gold!

October 16, 2020

“That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,” 1 Peter 1:7, NKJV.

You may be experiencing one of the most trying times in your life. It is testing your faith, the true desires of your heart and your will to follow the Lord. Yet in the midst of your trial, you can tell that something is breaking forth. Like a baby in the womb, the pressure is pushing you forward and you can tell you are about to experience something great from God in your life if you just stay with it.

It may be testing you to the core, but stay with it. As Jesus was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3:25), so He is with you. They came out unharmed and God did a great work through them, and so He will with you. You are at the cusp of something great in your life. Stay with whatever God is doing in you. You are coming forth as gold!

Prayer: Father, I feel pressed on every side, yet I’m staying with it. Whatever You are doing in me, have Your way. It may be challenging, but I know deep inside You are bringing greatness out of me. I ask for grace and a renewed strength right where I am, and I thank You Jesus, my Champion, is with me. I’m coming forth as gold! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Make Sure to Remember

October 14, 2020

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” Hebrews 13:8, ESV.

“I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands” Psalm 143:5, ESV.

Do you remember when you first met Jesus? Do you remember that day you were eternally forgiven? He is still the same today, yesterday, and forever. Remember the moments you’ve seen God show Himself real to you. Go back to that time when you didn’t know where the provision would come from, but He provided. Go back to the time you thought there was no possibility that a door would open, but somehow God made it open for you. It’s important to think on His works and remember what God has done for you.

When we’re going through something, the last thing the enemy wants you to do is anything that stirs up your faith and your hope in God. Yet, in light of what you face or are in pursuit of, remember Who is on the throne, Who loves you, and Whose hands you are in. Remember what He has done, and the same God will do it again. Make sure you remember.

Prayer: Father, I praise You. Thank You for reminding me of Who You are and what You’ve done. I remember I’m saved and forgiven. No matter what I go through, help me think on the works of Your hands in my life. You are the same God. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Agree with God

October 13, 2020

“But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God” 1 Corinthians 2:9 & 12, NKJV.

When the Lord shows you something, it’s important to agree with Him. Don’t back up from what He shows you. Agree with God. If the Father says this is what you will do, respond that I agree with You. When He says I’m going to use You in a mighty way, agree with Him. If He says I will restore your life. I will wipe away the past and make things new again. You will have a powerful ministry. I will do what seems impossible. I will deliver you. I will heal you. Whatever He reveals to you, agree with Him. When you agree with His will for your life, you’ll experience His will for your life. You will find the Holy Spirit begin to navigate you and lead you there.

Lift your hands and thank Him today, as you stand on God’s word in total agreement with Him. Receive a victory, a rest, and a joy that you’ve never known, all because you decided to agree with God.

Confession: Father, thank You for what You have shown me. Today, I decide to agree with You about my life. I will not back down. I will not believe the devil. I believe You, God! I am who You say I am. I can do what You say I can do. This man has what it takes because You have spoken it about me. I agree with Your will for me, and I rejoice over what You have freely given me. Hallelujah!

Lay down your life for a friend.

October 12, 2020

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” John 15:13, NKJV.

I had a three-hour conversation with a brother to help his life, and now, he is not the same. Piece by piece, issue by issue, God poured through me to help him. That ministry, that counsel, that help he received from God through me could have very well have been the tipping of the scale toward trusting God that he could go on, instead of giving up and doing something horrific in his life. It was all a result of laying my life down, giving of myself to someone else.

He told me this, “I appreciate you taking the time to help me, Mister. Man, you know, Christians know a lot, but some don’t take the time to show someone they care, to help and hear what someone is really going through.” I was convicted by the Lord and felt I needed to do this more.

Jesus is our example of truly helping and loving people. He left heaven where there is no time and spent 33 years with us. He eternally had it all, but He loved us so much that He stepped into time, our time, our life to save us, considering us as friends.

Let Jesus be your model and take the time to help someone victoriously live.

Prayer: Father, thank You for this. Jesus, help me to love more. I desire people to know Your great love for them, and I ask that You use me to do that. I do have time. My life is Yours, Lord. Help me to show I care by laying down my life for someone else. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Even if you’re midstream, get back into the will of God.

October 11, 2020

“Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them, saying, ‘Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives’” Acts 27:9-10, NKJV.

Even if it’s midstream, get back into the will of God. No matter how strong the current of being out of God’s will is, you can change midstream. The moment you perceive you are out of His will, you should turn around. It’s better to have a small loss than a big one.

You may be about to get married, but you don’t have peace, and God is telling you they’re not the one, follow what you perceive by the Holy Spirit and do what God says. You may be at the cash register or about to sign the dotted line, but you perceive this isn’t what you need to do–apologize and do what God says. Yes, you may be attempting to make your wife happy by buying it, but apologize midstream and tell her you God says it’s not the right time. She’ll love and respect your obedience.

When you recognize your error and turn back toward the will of God, you’ll grow and be rewarded by the Father more than you can imagine.

Prayer: Father, I praise You and thank You for speaking into my life. Help me to be a man that always perceives Your will. Teach me to follow Your peace. Allow Your peace to be like an umpire in my life. Even midstream, give me the strength and courage to turn around and get back in Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Careless in the Care of God

October 10, 2020

“Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life…Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?” Matthew 6:25-26, Amplified.

There will always be a whisper in your heart from God as His son to do one thing–don’t worry. God’s heart is that we learn to live with faith in Him and without a care in the world.

The Message Bible says the birds who are free and have no job description are careless in the care of God. They don’t have money, but they eat each day. They don’t have a home, but they always receive shelter. They fly in their freedom, and every day the Lord never fails them. If God provides for them, would He not provide for you? If He works out each day for them, will He not do it for you? You are worth far more than all the birds combined.

Be encouraged to let it all go. There is so much you could worry about, but my brother, it will surely keep you from truly living. Your Heavenly Father knows what you need before you even ask. Enjoy your precious moments. Fly in your freedom. Go after the kingdom and His righteousness, and He will handle the rest.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise, and I thank You for Your word. I am a man without a care in the world! I am careless in Your care, trusting You. Help me to enjoy my life abundantly and not worry about the situations of my life. May I enjoy my precious moments. I will praise You like it’s already done. I will fly in my freedom that Jesus has given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Happy because He took your place.

October 9, 2020

“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 6-8, NKJV.

I don’t know how many times I have humbly rehearsed the truth that Jesus took our place. We could have been the ones nailed to the cross and rightfully deserved it. Yet, Jesus took our place, and we have received the immeasurable grace of God.

You can be glad that you don’t have to pay what sin requires. It’s a heavy price. It’s a great price, and only One man could pay it for all. All of your sins are gone, never to be associated with your life. You stand righteous, whole, and free because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. You are a clean man. That should make you happy.

Prayer: Father, I give You praise and glory today. Thank You, Jesus, for taking my place. Help me to continue to understand Your immeasurable grace toward me. I have victory over sin, and now I reign through Christ! If You loved me enough to take care of my sin, You love me enough to take care of everything in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Sow your time.

October 8, 2020

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is” Ephesians 5:15-17, ESV.

Time is one of the most important areas to tame in a man’s life. It is the ability to focus on a goal or desired change and give time to it. The Father’s desire is that we give our time toward what causes His will to be experienced in our lives and more people to be impacted for Christ.

A spiritually-wise person in my life told me when they spend their money, they like to have something in their hands to show for what they spent. This nugget of wisdom applies to how we spend our time also. It’s not foolish to play video games and watch sports. It is foolish to spend ALL of your time playing video games and watching sports. You always want to have something to show for how you’ve spent the precious commodity of time.

It is deemed as precious because once it’s gone, it’s gone. You will never see this week again. You will never see your next hour or minute again. Make it your mission to be about your mission from God. Give your time to what ultimately will give back to you. Make it your mission to know what God’s will is for your life right now, set your eyes on your goals, and sow your time into doing that.

When your day is done, you will have whatever you gave your time to.

Prayer: Father, thank You. Help us all to be serious about redeeming the time because the days are evil. Help me not to do too much or go too far with the things I enjoy. Jesus, cause a focus to rise up big in me to be about the mission you’ve given me and Your plan for my life. When today is done, I will praise You for helping me maximize and wisely spend my time! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He’s At Work in You

October 7, 2020

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6, NKJV.

As I was driving to work, I seen a large construction site with all kinds of bulldozers, excavators and more preparing the ground and the infrastructure for what was about to be built.

God does the same with us. He has exactly in mind what He wants to build and He has begun His work in you. It may not feel good, but He is good. It may not look pretty, yet know that He is at work in your life.

You may want the end result, but He wants the infrastructure. He’s preparing you for something great He’s bringing to pass in your life. Be encouraged to let Him continue His construction and don’t leave the site. Don’t stop allowing His work in you because it is good work. With the right infrastructure, with the right foundation of Christ in you, He will help you build anything in your life.

Prayer: Father, I thank You. Keep working in me. Complete the work You are doing in my life. I won’t leave the site. Sometimes, it doesn’t feel good, but You are good. Form Christ in me. Help me to understand this season and what You desire to build, and let You have Your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

His goodness will change them.

October 6, 2020

“Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” Romans‬ ‭2:4‬, ‭NKJV‬‬.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness…” Galatians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

You may have some children, loved ones and friends that aren’t doing what you know they should be doing. They may have turned away from God, or they may be living in a way or going in a direction that you don’t agree with for their lives.

But it is not your judgment that will cause them to change. It will be your goodness that will cause them to change. It is the goodness of God leads man to repentance, not his judgment, not His anger, not His wrath. He wants you to continue loving them, continue praying for them, and be good to them, whether you understand it or not. There is a fruit of the Spirit that God wants us to operate in toward them and that is goodness.

Release their lives into the hands of God and trust Him.

Prayer: Father, You are so good. I needed to hear that. Regardless of their choices, help me not to grow weary in being good to the ones I love. I have the fruit of goodness in me and I will operate in it. Help me to let You lead me and trust You’re at work in their lives. By faith, I let go and I release them to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
