“The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. Proverbs 11:25, NKJV.
There have been countless of times I was given hope while giving hope to someone else. I was encouraged, while encouraging. As I became a blessing in someone’s life, that’s when my blessing came. My prayers were answered when I prayed for someone else, even sometimes that very person God used to be the answer for me in return.
Give out what you need. The amplified version says, “the generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched, and he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown].”
It may be hard to give the water you have, but give it any way, and you’ll get more. If you have a need, water someone else today and God will miraculously water you.
Confession: It may sound crazy, but the generous soul is made rich. I will give out what I need to come into my own life. According to His word, I trust as I water others, God will water me. I will seek someone else’s interest today beyond my own. These times call for a display of selflessness and unconditional love. I am God’s vessel and I will allow Him to pour through me today.
