Sometimes, it can be tough being a man

September 20, 2019

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong” 2 Cor. 12:9-10, NKJV.

You’re a man, a father, and a husband. You have to make your wife and children are happy. You work to provide. You’re a leader of your family. You make weighty direction decisions. You’re a protector. Even when something breaks, in some cases, you’re the repair man. Where you go in life, whether good or bad, right or left, so the family goes too. You are the one God put in charge to get your family there.

Sometimes, it is down right tough being a man. As the Lord said to Paul, He says to you–My grace is sufficient. To everything on your shoulders, His grace is sufficient. There is a dependency, a weakness in the Lord we must establish ourselves in and accept. When you are weak before Him, then you will find yourself strong. He will be strong through you. He is the way you can be it all. You can’t do it without His grace, and He designed it that way.

Pray and be humble each day before God and glory in your weakness, so then He can step in with wisdom and strength. Remain connected to Christ. He created us to find our Source and Strength in Him.

Prayer: Father, it’s tough sometimes, but Your grace is sufficient. I stand with me weak before You. I ask for more grace to completely be the man You’ve called me to be. Whatever I need to be in the moment, from husband to father, I receive strength to be it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
