“Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] loving-kindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments” Deuteronomy 7:9, Amplified.
It is important to know the character of God. He is love. He is merciful and good. Whatever He speaks, He always keeps His word. He chastises those that He loves as a father does a son. He never disappoints. The Almighty is righteous, holy and just. He is wise. He is patient. He is unchanging. He is omnipresent and wherever you are, He’s there.
You do not have to struggle or wrestle with thoughts contrary to God’s character. If His word is settled in heaven, it is settled about you. God is not shady. What you read about God in scripture is Who He is. If He said He is for you, He is truly for you my brother.
Be thankful and be at peace today because you know God’s character.
Prayer: Father, I am thankful I know Your character. You are good. You are faithful. You are true. You said it and You will do it. I can rejoice and have peace. You will finish what You have started in me. You will be good to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
