“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous…” 1 John 5,3 KJV.
Our son got home from school and shortly after it was time to do his homework assigned that his teacher gave him. As I was in the kitchen, all of sudden he had a moment of discouragement, anger, confused and frustration all expressed at one time. He yelled, “I can’t do this! This is too hard!” I went over to him and said, “Your teacher wouldn’t have given it to you if you couldn’t do it.”
Then, I said let me sit down and help you. First, he wanted to know where is the mouse, I don’t see it. Yet, Those weren’t the instructions. The instructions said find the picture that rhymes with the word mouse, not to find a picture of one. Success is in the details.
Is there anything, being married, any assignment, any mountain, any challenge, before that you are so frustrated with and saying this is just too hard. Are you going through something that you feel that you can’t bear? God is good and He wouldn’t have given you the assignment if He knew you couldn’t do it. His will isn’t grievous either. He will never allow anything above what you are able to bear, and there is nothing before you in your life that you can’t handle.
The question is are you doing what He says, and have you leaned on the Holy Spirit for help? How did God say is best to handle the circumstance? Are you doing it the way God said to do it? Did He say do it now? Did He say do it with them? Whatever you are wanting to succeed at, remember success is in the details.
Pray out the details if you need them and the Father will sit down beside you and provide exactly what you need. That’s what He’s here for.
Prayer: Father, thank You for clarity. God, this assignment, situation, this mountain feels so hard and I am getting discouraged. Yet, Your commandments are not grievous. Therefore, I turn to You. Holy Spirit I lean on you for help. Step by step, I thank You for helping me do what You are telling me to do and Your success in my life. Success is in the details. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
