“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, ‘The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” Luke 17:20-21, NKJV.
The Pharisees were looking afar off for God’s kingdom to come. They looked outward, instead of inward. They were looking for what they thought their king should be, yet their King was actually already in their midst.
Everything you need is in God’s Kingdom and Jesus is not far off. Everything you need, from the power to do right, to the way to prosper is already in your midst–close and accessible. Many times we are looking afar off for the kingdom, when Jesus says the kingdom is already in you!
I understand how frustrating it can be when you are wondering what God has for your life. You could be looking far off for it, when the answer is in your midst. What is already in your hands, what gifts have you been given–that is your answer. It has been in your midst the entire time, and that is what God wants to use to expand and impact His kingdom. That is what God wants you to use to bless you and others.
Prayer: Father, nothing You have for me is far off. It is near. The kingdom is me. Jesus lives in me. Everything You have for me is already here. Show me the things You freely given us. Show me the gifts in my midst that will help me provide for my family and bless others. I thank You and ask that You be glorified in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
