“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV.
Jesus was given, so that you could freely receive a great salvation. It can’t be comprehended. It is not earned, fought into, educated for, begged for, or bargained for. You don’t have to get qualified for it. You don’t even have to change for it, because it is the one gift that will change you.
No one can brag about how they attained it and someone else couldn’t. No one can say they worked enough to have it. It was too high for man, so God brought it low to us. He brought Jesus to mankind to pay what we couldn’t on the cross, and faith in the saving grace of God is all that is required.
Remind yourself today of the greatest gift you have in Jesus and the sacrifice made to save you. God has given you His gift of salvation and it can never be taken away.
Prayer: Thank You Father for this awesome gift of salvation. By Your unchanging love and grace I have made righteous and saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus. I simply receive this gift and it is mine eternally. All my sins are gone! Help me to allow this gift to change me each day, becoming more and more like You, and give this gift of Jesus to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
