Praise–A Man’s Voice of Triumph

November 25, 2017

“Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day.” Psalm 71:8, NKJV.

God told me one day, “You don’t praise Me enough”. I responded I thought I praised You a lot. His response was, “Exactly. You need to say it more.”

The devil uses his tongue, but he doesn’t want us to use ours. He opens his mouth, but he doesn’t want particularly men to give voice to their praise. He wants men to believe praise is feminine and only women do that. Yet, the more he can get you preoccupied with listening to his words of defeat, the less he has to hear you declare the victory you have in Christ Jesus.

Life and death is in the power of your tongue, not your mind (see Proverbs 18:21). This applies not only to women, but men as well. The power is in opening your mouth and giving God praise. As you say He is a great God, as you say He is more than able to overcome this obstacle, as you speak He is able, the more you stir up the JOY of the Lord in you.

One practical way to help you open your mouth and praise God is listening to christian music. Turn it on in your car and in your home. Begin praising God with your lips. You can be masculine and still praise Him. As you go about your day, sing something that blesses your life and gives you hope. Watch yourself become free from worry and feeling like you have to do it all and figure everything out–God will do it. God is able. God will answer. God will provide!!

Praise is not an aspect of your christian walk that is quiet. There’s nothing like man praising God–no matter what it looks like. It is our mighty roar and our voice of triumph!

Prayer: Father, I thank You this morning for speaking to me as man. You are a great God and I take this moment praise to You. Help me to open my mouth and praise You more. Make it a lifestyle for me. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Therefore every day, Let Your praises bring life to me and always remind me of the victory I have in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
