Perceive His Will

January 28, 2020

“Then I perceived that God had not sent him at all, but that he pronounced this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him” Nehemiah 6:12, NKJV.

Perceive means to become aware or conscious of (something) or to come to realize or understand. God helped Nehemiah to perceive that someone was saying they were with him, but they were really against him. Paul perceived that for a centurion and his men that there would be destruction and much loss if they set sail on a voyage they desired to take.

In these moments, pray to perceive the Lord’s will. It is important to perceive what the Lord wants your focus on and what He doesn’t, who is really on your side and who isn’t, who is good for you to be dating and who isn’t good for you. Perceive the wise decisions that are good for you and those that could lead to a loss. By the Holy Spirit, perceive His will and remain in His safety, perceive His will and prosper.

Prayer: Father, I praise You and thank You for Your holy word. Give me the eyes and ears to perceive Your will. Help me to perceive how You are moving. As soon as I come in contact with something or someone, I desire to perceive what’s good for me and what isn’t. I receive this by the Holy Spirit, and I thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Study: Nehemiah 6:11-13, Acts 17:21-23, Ephesians 5:17
