Look to God

November 22, 2018

“Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that He have mercy upon us” Psalm 123:2, NKJV.

This is the heart of a servant and a maid. They know who their source is and they look to them. Also, with their eyes fixed, they wait in silence, giving full attention until their master or mistress’s will is made known.

This should be the heart of a son of God. In these times, look only to God and His will for you and your family. When and after you pray, expect Him to speak and reveal His will to you. With a fixed heart, as you continue to serve God, silence all the questions, the anxiety, and the going back and forth to figure out what to do. Quiet your soul and look to God to provide. Look to God to show His power, His goodness, His favor, and His direction to you. He said He will be your only Source, so allow Him to be. It’s His way or no way. It’s His blessing or none at all. Your quietness and confidence will be a strength to you.

Prayer: Father, I am a son of the King, yet, my heart is as a servant. I stand in silence and attentive, awaiting Your command, awaiting Your will to be made known, awaiting Your provision. There is no alternative and I have nowhere else to go. I say I have no options. I will look to You only, and I know You will show Your favor, Your goodness, and Your direction. I will not be moved by the evil doer. My eyes are fixed, waiting on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
