Remember the Greatest Gift

December 25, 2019

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23, NKJV

This season that we abundantly enjoy every year is very special. The love, peace, and joy that fills our God fill the entire earth. It cannot be contained. With the exalting of Jesus Christ, the Father pours out everything He is, and man, whether saved or not, is witness to what happens when God gives His greatest gift.

His greatest gift to us is Jesus Christ, to be with us and never leave. He is truly the reason that we can come together, and we experience the outpouring of love and His Spirit that we do in this season. He was born for you, died for you, and rose for you! He came that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Take the time to humbly appreciate and reverence God’s gift to you–the overflowing, life-changing, eternal gift of Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Jesus Christ, our Lord, and King. You are Immanuel, God with us, and I exalt you! Everything we experience in this season is because You gave the greatest gift, Your Son, to be with us and to save us. Help me to be thankful that Jesus was born and paid a dear price for me. I will tell what he’s done and I’m eternally grateful. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
