God IS Love

November 30, 2017

“He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” 1 John 4:8, NKJV.

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6, NKJV.

Faith works by knowing the mighty love God has for you. Let’s use an example of you as a father and your son. If your son is in any kind of dilemma, if he has any kind of need, if he needs any wisdom or your time, the first thing you want him to really know is not how much money you have in the bank. He doesn’t even need to know that you are the president of a global company and you have volumes of accolades. The very first thing you want him to be grounded in knowing is that you simply love him. Because by this truth, your son will know there is nothing you won’t do for him. If it even costs you, there’s nothing you won’t do for your son.

You are God’s son and the first thing God wants you to receive is that He loves you, and there’s nothing He won’t do for you. He IS love. He is not evil. He sent Jesus, not to show His strength or to get glory, but because He loves you. He sent one son to save another. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve messed up, it doesn’t matter how broken we may feel, it doesn’t matter what we’re going through, His love is the same as when Jesus died for us.

Through this revelation of His great love for you, you can put your faith in Him, even in these times. You can say I see the peril in the earth all around me, but God is love, and He directs that love toward us. We can trust Him at all times. You can stand and believe He will move for me according to His Word because He loves me. We can say with faith He’s already worked it out on our behalf because He loves us.

Prayer: Father, there is nothing you won’t do for me your son. Nothing. Whether I feel it or not, you love me. Help me to receive the revelation to core of me that You love me, and even share it with others. Let it be applied in all I do and cause it the spark a revolution in my life to where I exercise my faith more in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
