Jehovah Shammah-The Lord Who is There

March 1, 2018

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Psalm 46:1, KJV.

Jehovah Shammah means “The Lord Who is There” (Ezekiel 48:35). It is one of God’s names to specifically reveal all that He is. He provides the knowledge of this name for a reason. His name is such because He wants us to above all, to always be aware that He is with us, and Jesus lives in us.

You don’t have to wonder where is God. Right now, right where you are, whatever you are going through, He is there where you are. He is in heaven on His throne, yet walks with you at the same time. If you’re going through some rough times, He is there. If your marriage is rocky and you just don’t see any light, the Lord is there. If you are jobless or without a home, He’s is there. If you are in prison, He’s mightily there. Wherever or whatever situation you find yourself in, He is right there. Just this truth alone brings us real joy and a real hope.

He isn’t present just to stand by and watch. He is present to help you when you call. He is there to counsel, protect you and encourage you not just sometimes, but at all times. He will meet your need.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being Jehovah Shammah. You are there. You are here right now with me. Help me through what I’m facing. I also ask that you change me through what I’m facing also. Jesus lives in me. You will help me and You will provide. I will yet praise You! I will believe and trust You Jehovah Shammah. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
