It’s Time

December 31, 2017

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” Matthew 6:20-21, NKJV.

Some of us must answer the hardest question at this juncture in our lives: When? I’ve sat back, taken deep breaths and asked myself this question countless of times. I know what to do. I’ve also prepared well. Everything is all set. All the while He has spoken to me, guided me, by His mighty Spirit inspired me, and provided what I need. After all of the sawing, and hammering, and building, then, there’s a silence. I don’t hear anything else from Him. His when is in the silence.

It’s time.

As this new year approaches, for many of us it’s time. It’s time to give everything you’ve got to Him. It’s time to seize your moment. It’s time to do the God-ordained work in your heart whereby you will win the lost. It’s not time to focus of the earth anymore. It’s time to focus on heaven. It’s not time to focus on storing up treasure here. It’s time to focus on storing up treasure in heaven. No moth can’t eat it and it won’t rust away, and you’ll enjoy your reward for eternity. It’s time to pursue that, and where your treasure is, so will your heart be also.

You’ve been given what you need. He gave it, and that day has come to use it. Don’t fear in your when. Have faith in your when. You may be in the stadium. You may be on the team. Yet the truth is some of us have been on the sidelines. But it’s time with faith to get into the game.

If you go forth when He tells you to, you will receive the win that He already has for you. Because truly it’s not about the car you drive, the house you can own and the money you can acquire. It’s about the impact you make in the lives of others. Only what you do for God will last.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your word. It’s time to make the greatest impact of my life. It’s time to focus on storing treasures in heaven. Help me to live by faith and set my affection on things above. Help the entire Body of Christ to focus on what will last. Our time is now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
