“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed” Deuteronomy 31:8, ESV.
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5, ESV.
There is an overwhelming truth that can help you in the most trying times. It’s knowing that God will never leave nor forsake you. The devil will tell you that God has left you, but He hasn’t. Your Almighty God is always at arm’s reach.
Whether you are in prison or a penthouse, He’s there and He won’t ever leave you. Whether you are in court or ICU, He’s there and He won’t ever leave you. You could have just decided to live in sin, or for the moment you just don’t care anymore, yet He still won’t forsake you. Some people will leave your side when things get tough, but not God. In the heat of the fire my brother, that’s when you learn He is with you the most.
He will never desert you, or leave you in a bad place in your life. Since He won’t ever leave or forsake you, an access to Him won’t either. He is Jehovah Shammah, The Lord Who is There, meaning where you are, He will be present and always help when you call. He is Jehovah Jireh, meaning He is your Provider, and He will supply all your need. Jesus said that he is the Way, therefore, as long as he’s with you, there’s always a way to get beyond what you’re going through.
Prayer: Father, thank You for never leaving nor forsaking me. No matter where we are, You are there. Help me to always remember You are at arm’s reach when I call. My peace comes from You. May my faith rest in You and that in my battle, You are with me to overcome it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
