He Shifts, He Moves

January 11, 2020

“And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up” Exodus 40:35-37, NKJV.

While in the wilderness and traveling to the promised land, God led His people Israel by a cloud that was filled with His glory by day and fire by night. When God wanted them to move on, the cloud would be taken up off the tabernacle, and Israel would move also. When the cloud would stay, Israel would remain where they were until God moved again.

God shifts and moves, and you have to be able to recognize when He is doing so and move with Him. Just as there are indicators of transition from winter to spring, you will experience indicators that it is time to move into a new thing or a new season. Your time will be up where you are.

God desires for us to follow His voice by the Holy Spirit regarding when He is shifting and moving. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us. He will show us things to come in our lives. Be in prayer and listen right now. Just as God moved to ultimately cause Israel to arrive in the promised land He had given them, He is doing the same for you.

Prayer: Father, I desire to move when You move. Teach me how to recognize when it is time to transition into a new season in my life. According to Your word, Your sheep know Your voice. Thank You for leading me into the plans You have for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Study: Exodus 40:34-38, Ecclesiastes 3:1, John 10:4, 16:13
