Go and possess what God has for you!

January 2, 2020

“Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?” Joshua 18:3, NKJV.

There is a difference between having something and possessing something. A son can have an inheritance, but he still has to go and possess what has been given to him. God had given the children of Israel the promised land, yet they had to go and possess it.

As men, we have to face the reality that if we don’t work the plan that God has given us, what is in our hearts won’t happen. We have to go and possess what God has given to us.

Let’s not neglect or be slack about it. Sometimes, procrastination and neglect are fear disguised, which is something we must be honest about. Let’s open up to the Lord in prayer about any fears, and ask Him for the courage to face it head on and go get what the Father has for us. He wouldn’t have given you a dream, an idea, and goals, if you couldn’t possess it. He gave it to you, therefore, He will help you do it!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking directly to my heart. Thank You Lord for courage to possess what You have already given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
