Aligned with His will

January 25, 2019

“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” Colossians 1:9, ESV.

Where are you? Really. Where are you? Do you know if you are in the perfect will of God for your life?

I had to ask myself this same question. At the beginning of one year, I began to pray and fast to seek God about His will for me. He revealed to me that I was living completely in the wrong city. Then He did something very amazing to me. As with two lines, He took His will and lined it up next to my life. He showed me where I was, the wrong turns I made, where He wants to be, and how to get there. That is when everything in my life began to change and get better. It became abundant and peaceful. That’s when restoration unfolded. That’s when I felt really like myself again. When you begin to align your life with His will, that’s when your life straightens out.

It is a simple question, but a serious and important one. It is a question worthy of seeking the Father for, Who withholds no wisdom from you. God won’t align His will to ours. We align ourselves with His. If you aren’t sure that you are in God’s will, it is good time to seek Him for it.

Prayer: Father, align me with Your will. Straighten every area in my life out. Reveal to me where I am, and if I’m not in Your perfect will for my life, help me get there. In whatever You show me, help me to obey You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
