A Prayer for My Brother

October 14, 2018

“But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” 1 Samuel 16:7, NKJV.

Pray this prayer with me today: Father, I desire to be right before you in the hidden places of my life. People can see how I look on the outside. People can see how well I do my job. Yet, they don’t see the thoughts that I have privately. They don’t see what I have been lusting for. They don’t see my heart like You do. You see whether I am really putting you first in my life. You know if I am being a man of integrity and honor. You see my heart, Lord, and I want to be pleasing to you in the area you deem as most important of all. I want to have clean hands and a pure heart. I want to be right before You. I ask You to repair me. Really change me in the areas that You can see, because when it is all said and done, that is what matters. I thank You for it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
