“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Message Bible.
No matter where you are or what you do, always keep the line of communication open with God through prayer. This is what prayer is. You are constantly checking with God about what He says and thinks about the decision. You know how you feel about it, but Father, how do you feel?
As you talk to God, you will find He’s already talking to you. He’s already leading and guiding you. His Spirit is like a traffic director, letting you know to think on this, but don’t allow that in your heart. Push that aside. He’s your encourager telling you, yes, that’s bad news, but keep moving forward because I’ve already provided. Like Abraham, I’ve got a ram in the bush for you. His Spirit is like your coach telling you you can do it through the Son. You missed it, but come to Me. Keep your head up and stay in My joy. The Lord should be your number-one contact in your recent calls to Him in prayer. Looking to Him, depending on Him to show you what to do and how to live–and He will answer every time.
Prayer: Father, thank you. I can talk to you any time. Help me live a life where I’m not living on my own but depending on you. Be my coach today, Holy Spirit. Be the director of my thoughts today, Holy Spirit. Lead and guide me, even with my tongue, to speak what’s good and kind. Because I’m always praying, you will speak and steer me to every victory and blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
