When you have to make gritty decisions.

July 11, 2022

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10, ESV.

“Fight the good fight of the faith…” 1 Timothy 6:12, ESV.

Grit means courage, resolve, and strength of character. It is also defined as perseverance and passion for long-term goals. In key moments, we all have to display some grit in our faith and our lives.

I pray for the gritty decisions you’re going to have to make. Some of us will have to tell our wives we’re putting all this money toward debt. Some of us will hear God tell us to fast, and it will take grit to do it. You will have to decide to put down the remote for a book instead, as He calls you higher. Some of us will have to make some decisions as a man we’ve needed to make for a long time. If it don’t hurt, it ain’t grit. Jesus made them when He had to. I believe He’s going to help you make them too.

Prayer: Father, I thank You today. You are my strength. You are my grit. Help me Jesus to make gritty decisions like you. No matter what, Father I thank You for courage and strength of character to obey You to reach in life the high places You have ordained for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
