“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8, NKJV.
Many things may be going well in your life, and from friends to family, there is so much you can stop and thank God for. Yet, the most important thing you can be thankful for is your Savior.
Jesus told the disciples rejoice because your name is written in heaven. Rejoice, celebrate and be thankful that Jesus redeemed you and your debt of sin was eternally paid. Every one of them, ALL of them, have been blotted out, never to be known in connection to you again. When God sees you, He sees you as completely righteous in Christ Jesus before Him.
Jesus opened the door of salvation and you freely walked through it. Also because he rose, you rose too and you realize the blessings have been countless since he has been in your life. How many times has God come through for you this year? When did He not provide? How many times did He not blow your mind with His goodness and favor on your life? You can be thankful that through Christ you have a life that overflows with God, with His promises and victory.
Know the things you’re thankful for, but most of all, know WHO you’re thankful for and Who is responsible for it all. Thank God for giving you a Savior today. No matter what you have, Jesus always puts every thing in perspective.
Prayer: Father, I can give thanks for many things, but above all, thank You for sending your son for me. Thank you Jesus for my great salvation. You are the source of my joy and every blessing in my life. I have what I have, all the family and friends that I’ve been blessed with because of you. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
