“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous…” 1 John 5:3, KJV.
Our son was doing his homework, and all of a sudden he yelled, “I can’t find the mouse! I can’t do this! This is too hard!!” I went over to him and said, “Your teacher wouldn’t have given you the homework if you weren’t able to do it. Let me sit down and help you.”
He was looking for a mouse, but those weren’t the instructions. He needed to find the picture of the word that rhymes with mouse, not a picture of one. Success is in the details.
Is there anything, any assignment, any mountain, any challenge, before that you are so frustrated with, and saying this is just too hard? Are you going through something that you feel that you can’t bear and there seems to be no way through it? God is good and He wouldn’t have given you the assignment if He didn’t equip you to do it. His will isn’t grievous either. He will never allow anything above what you are able to bear, and there is nothing before you that you can’t handle through Him.
The question is have you settled yourself, leaned in as you pray to hear the Holy Spirit help you and give you the guidance you need, the perspective you need? How is God saying is best to overcome the circumstance? Could it be frustrating because now isn’t the time? Did He say do it with them?
Whatever you are wanting to succeed at, whatever you are pressing your way through, remember, success is in the details.
Prayer: Father, thank You for clarity. God, this assignment, situation, this mountain feels so hard and I am getting discouraged. Yet, Your commandments are not grievous. Therefore, I turn to You. I calm
down and Holy Spirit I lean on you in prayer for help. Step by step, I thank You for helping me do what You are telling me to do and for Your success in my life. Success is in the details. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
