“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth” Psalm 121:1-2, NKJV.
It’s good to develop the habit of just stopping what you’re doing and looking to where your help comes from. I’ve had many times at work where I’d had to take a break from what I was doing because I had so much going through as a man. I left my desk, walked to a glass window, and looked to the heavens, where my help comes from.
Let the Lord remind you to look to Him when you need help. Don’t stand overwhelmed at this critical point in your life and look at the problem, but turn and look to your solution. Wherever you may be, step away from it and look to the Lord! Set your eyes on your mighty God. Your awesome help is Him, and there is not a time He didn’t speak to me through His word. There will never be a time that as you reach for Him, He won’t reach back–every single time.
He is the One that saves. He is the One that delivers. He is the One that opens doors. He will make it better. He can and will change it all for you, my brother. Look to where your help comes from. It comes from your faithful God.
Prayer: Father, I take a moment to stop and look to You. Thank You for reminding me to look to You where my help comes. Help me get to the place you desire for me. Help me with all these decisions as a man. Help my finances, Lord. Minister to me now, Father. I put my confidence in You and look up to my Help. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
